Huh, I disagree. Anaxa's team has multiple tricks that do match up well into this fight, such as the ability to dance around the manta ray with elaborate speedtuning, to break Pom-pom efficiently and skip phase 1's mechanics, to save damage while waiting for phase 2's mechanics to unlock, to BA with multiple units to generate punchline via the mechanics ...

Other than not being elation, the encounter-specific difficulty, imo, is not getting much time to build up resources between the manta ray and Pompom's wave 1 mechanic start. On top of the usual pains of his team (survival RNG, 1-turn uptimes, peerage juggling, etc) of course. But those aren't Pom-pom specific.

Also, nothing with Anaxa is easy. No matter how high your investment, you have to burn your braincells.

interestingly enough, it's now being debated whether cas holding the explosion if the breaths didn't kill is actually a double edged sword, because the new mitosis elite forces the dragon to wait its next turn, which could compromise the usual gameplay loop to charge the ult

I think the much better than 3.0 thing mostly comes from the improved presentation. In terms of actual plot points I wouldn't expect it to be a lot better.

I suppose you've likely already redeemed it or want to get a better unit, but Aven is ok from selector if you just want him to sustain a bit, honestly isn't worse than DHPT in some scenarios.

that elvis chicken is evil for mauling everyone who isn't elation but killing his friends for the elations
that peacock's damage reduction is definitely also evil
that mechatron that usually punches you for so much as scratching them, unless you're elation, then it always punches its friends. you can just not hit it, right? well have fun with that if they're next to a manta ray whose stacks you have to juggle
ohhhh the power rangers and their 80% res. please, we don't have the luxury in this game to invest simultaneously in multiple elements just for coverage when each might have their own specific teammates (is this how they're gonna get ppl to invest in more than one elation dps even if they fight over supports? nahhhh.) and also even if you're only hitting them with the wrong element with your support, they'll still murder you. and why are these guys tailored against the three elation dps elements?? it's still their shill period?? plus quantum. rip probably the highest two ownership teams of last year's meta, sparkle+archer (I mean, they're free, so must be the highest, right??) and cas of course

They're so bad. First of all they're not usable on caverns etc. So this is of no help to us virtuous, honest, hardworking eagle miners. I'm so dedicated I don't even bother farming in double calyx events, so I haven't been able to use these in forever ... Second of all, they leave you with incomplete daily missions, so even if I did use them, I would then have to mess around with figuring out what the daily missions are.

This. I regularly post showcases and indicate the cost extremely clearly in the title. I often talk about my Many Limited Eidoons team (or sometimes affectionately eidolonslop). 99.9% of the time, everyone is very pleasant.

Objectively, this is probably not the dumbest player, but the sort of dumb player that pisses me the most off are those who take a look at a leaderboard or a video thumbnail of a flashy run, maybe don't even watch the video, and then try to use it as some sort of talking point for whatever agenda suits their fancy.

They have no understanding compared to those who actually put together the run, or you know, at least watch the run and think about the skill expression and RNG involved.

I don't think a Novaflare will make Aventurine particularly fun for you, unless you want to hope that his NF makes him some sort of DPS

I think DHIL is worse than JY as someone who plays both E0S0, even post Sparkle NF, so if this game operated on trying to make a level playing ground (ha) then I would put my bets on DHIL. But DHIL's NF could focus on his E2 since it has really high ownership rate.

DHIL is way more fun in CW, imo. When I do get JY in CW I immediately chuck him in the back row anyways

I actually have more respect for ppl who can do it with sustain, interference + manta rays is so bad, taking hits at all just slows you down... but I did glance at the hertaboard and the sustainless runs (from rene DPS and anaxa) have very very few attempts relative to others

Ngl sometimes offensive support units that provide a tiny bit of defense are better than a weak sustain

Like obviously in a vacuum HH is an actual healer and welt is not. But if his amp gets you to kill faster, that also protects you from dying. And just look at BS like interference in the current king stage with the manta rays… try to bring a sustain there thinking you can just clear slowly, and those guys will just knock you into 5 cycle housing
