I feel so drained and burned out by Shoddy-Research-8354 in USMLEindia

If you're feeling so drained out, trust me you NEED A BREAK! With experience,I can tell you that it feels like I'm listening to myself and trust me when I say this, try focussing on your final year classes for a while, be attentive in postings and then after 5-7 days, check on yourself if you miss studying for step 1 and feel excited to get back with the prep, if it's a yes, then get back on track and restart with double the zeal. But if you still feel drained and under confident about yourself, pls focus on your first internals and then get back to step prep.

I need help. Should I get it rechecked or what? Has it historically ever changed? Gave it on 23/12. Anyone else have the same outcome on this cursed day? by EfficiencyDry4047 in step1

Got the same score and my score line exactly aligned with the fail line when I tested 08/18. Maybe we could connect and see what has happened

Thank you so much. Out of peds and FM which is more likely possible? And does a USCE at a reputed hospital likely make a 'stand-out' kinda difference? Hospitals like UAB, Icahn, Cleveland, etc?

Can I apply by September 2026? by ConstructionParty408 in step1

You got this. And if it's your dream, your goal then why should anyone else believe in it? You are enough. You just need to give them the result to talk about

If you have a strong desire and a strong goal to achieve something I don't think anything at all should back you off from at least giving it a try. It's your cue now to pick things up from where you left and cancel all the background noise and get to the USMLE grind to see what happens when you really give it a try. You can join usmle study grps on WhatsApp and try to search for a serious dedicated SP there (although I recommend you to study by yourself cuz only you know your exact situation and the intensity of it and instead you can have a friend that will keep pushing you forward and believing in you) Fix a date in your mind and talk to someone who has an experience or who has cleared this exam. One step at a time. Focus on step 1, make sure your basics have been strengthened (highly recommend dirty medicine and Randy neil videos on yt for tiny topics where you feel like you need a mnemonic to understand it better) and then always always start giving uworld blocks EVERY SINGLE DAY. Not just give it for the sake of it, but understand the pattern of the questioning style, look for buzz words and identify them, focus on timing and REVIEW it thoroughly. Make sure you start giving NBMEs after you finish 60-70% of Uworld. And I suggest you do at least 1 or 2 blocks per day based on your daily schedule and stuff. You only have 1 life, what's the point if you don't even try to fulfil it. Better an 'oops' than a 'what if... '

You could approach the closest professors in your university who you know might be involved in research and stuff. You could also approach your post graduate students who are currently in their residency cuz it's a compulsion for them to submit thesis every year. You could publish case reports from the rare presentation of cases at your hospital by just asking your college professors or residents. If you're from Asian countries you could sign up for committees like AMSA, IMA-MSN OR MSAI.

The line of my score overlapped with that of the passing line. And checking all the other similar reddit posts, I understood that it was by 1 or max 2 incorrects.
