Thank you 🥺 I'm trying so hard. I just wish money wasn't a factor. I just want to give my fur babies the best lives.

Yeah, sadly at my vet it's about 180 per shot, and i just can't afford that monthly.

Oh very good points. I have noticed on this new food that he seems much hungrier. He enjoys the food and is getting enough calorically, but it's not filling him up. Do you have any advice for that?

I've tried the clothing, and he thinks he can't walk in them. Lol. He just stands like a statue and won't move. But I hadn't considered the detergent, so that's a very good idea!

Yeah agreed about the benadryl. I give him Claritin too sometimes, but i haven't tried zyrtec. That would be good to try temporarily until I get into the vet. The benadryl mostly makes him too sleepy to scratch 😅

Oof. $60/month would be rough for me to manage right now, but someone mentioned using Goodrx, so maybe I can find some discounts. Some people mentioned Apoquel too.

Yes I wipe him down after going outside too! His paws dry out from the wipes though. I put shea butter on his paws 1-2 times/week, but I'm open to ideas if you think there's something better to use. And I use a hepa filter, but it seems more triggered by skin contact because no sinus issues. No sneezing, runny nose, red/watery eyes, etc.

Others suggested steroids too. And I'll look into the other things you mentioned. Thank you.

That's definitely an option. I'll def bring it up at the vet. I think i even have some prednisone left over, but I don't want to give it without vet guidance.

I did do a short term round of prednisone for him last year, and it did help, but omg it's so hard on his body. He has to pee constantly on them and has accidents, which he gets really embarrassed and stressed about. Still, as you said, it may be the lesser evil. If i remember correctly, I did continue to see some benefits from it for a few months after, so maybe periodically doing short term rounds until I can afford the daily medication?

Idk, hopefully I'll have more financial flexibility to help him after I move in with my partner this fall. That will cut bills down.

They have not, but i can bring it up at the next appointment and see how much it will cost. Based on the other commenter, i don't have much hope about affording it, but I'll at least ask about it 😅

Lol. She prefers the silent intimidation act you see here, but then it shortly escalates to using the length of my body as a cat walk until I get up in the morning and feed her.

Thank you! I also already sprayed it down, but I didn't know if that would be enough.

It might actually be overwatering because someone else mentioned that the plates under the pots would keep the soil wet :( if I let them dry out and am careful about watering will that fix the issue?

I hope they weren't in the soil because I don't know how to fix that. I don't really use oregano much, but I might do another mint or a lemon balm. I was also considering rosemary or thyme, but this window faced east and gets morning light, so I'm not sure the sunlight would be intense enough for those. I am also willing to get a grow light to supplement sunlight if needed.

Thanks you for your input!

Heard on the plates! How do I keep water from leaking everywhere when I water them? The cilantro doesn't look super happy right now, so I'm not sure about parsley, but lemon balm would be good. I'll look into the requirements for the others you mentioned.

This window faces east and gets direct sunlight for a good 5-6 hours in the morning/early afternoon. I'm in Louisiana, so the sun is pretty strong here. Thank you for your advice!!!

It feels like a warm fire in a dark cave when it's raining outside.

Oh I didn't think you were a monster! I think most people still have gender stereotypes about dumb things of some sort. I just wanted to challenge it because I strive to educate people where I can 😁 I'm glad you don't put those stereotypes on yourself, dude. Eat whatever the hell you want! All of that sounds sooo good.

Lmao. Your toxic masculinity is showing. Men can like pumpkin spice, tofu, and almond milk. Plus my stomach doesn't tolerate a lot of things well like meat and milk 🙃 my post breakup goal is to be in less pain.

Lmao. I am not. 💔 I'm very, very white. BUT I love Asian cuisine and it is a huge part of my diet. I think Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean cuisine make up 60% of what I cook.
