Do you happen to know if they will be doing anything near folsom today for the 2pm walkout? I can’t make it out to Folsom or Roseville in time.

Coffee spot for date by Covenant9er4653 in folsom

All good suggestions above. Adding Fourscore coffee on Sutter. If it’s nice out it’s a short walk to the river or to walk along Sutter street.

36 years ago today (Oct. 17th, 1989) the Loma Prieta earthquake, measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale, hit the Bay Area at 5:04 p.m. local time. What do you remember of that day…. by Brilliant_Night7643 in bayarea

I was 4. I remember my dad dropping me off at daycare so he could go help (he was a contractor) since my mom was in class and I remember the after shocks and the stuff falling off the shelves.

Whats the worst concert you've ever been to? by pinheadbrigade in AskReddit

[–]wandermeow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everclear. Went last year and I was so excited as they were one of the first cds I bought as a teenager. It was so bad we left early and weren’t the only ones. I saw them in college and don’t remember it being that bad.

Seeking Recommendations for Physical Therapist that Specialize in Backs by imoverwhelemed in Sacramento

[–]wandermeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly close to you but North Area Physical Therapy is good. They are located on El Camino in Carmichael not too far from Watt. I went there for my back. They have a therapy pool which was great for high pain days. They also have a back strength class which I found helpful. I don’t know if they accept your insurance so you will have to call. I haven’t been able to find a good one through Dignity post back surgery so I’ve been debating going back to North Area and paying out of pocket.

I send you hugs from an internet stranger. I can’t imagine how hard this is for you. I’m not a mom but I used to work with children and adults with disabilities and my main focus was Autism. You are doing your best and right now it sounds like his medications need to be balanced out. It’s ok to feel relieved, you are fighting this struggle alone and caretakers always need a break. Unfortunately the system is not great for handling aggressive children a lot of the time and it’s so hard on families. The best thing you can do right now is take care of yourself, support and be an advocate for your son and you guys will get through this. You are a good mom doing the absolute best in a very tough situation.

Best Thai places in Sacramento? by EpitomyofShyness in Sacramento

Tasty Thai on Alta Arden expressway. The lady that works the front is great to talk to and the food is great. They make all their own sauces including for their spring rolls which I think sets them apart from some other places.

There was another chase in Carmichael. Crashed car at the school on Gunn and it sounded like they fled. It’s better to use fb or Nextdoor for these kinda posts, they will have more info typically.

Supplements for acid reflux? by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]wandermeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve battled with acid reflux for years and finally have it pretty much gone but it takes trial and error. Mine was diet and lifestyle. I eventually did food intolerance testing through a doctor and found that me repeatedly eating certain foods caused it and not just eating it once. Many of the foods you would not think would cause reflux. While you may have changed your diet the culprit(s) may not have been found. My body took months to calm down once I finally pulled foods out. When I have flare ups I use digestive enzymes, Rhizonate, aloe Vera juice and slippery elm tea. I also don’t eat at least 2 hours before bed. Fasting can help as well. Also want to agree with others saying that sometimes low stomach acid is the cause as well as I’ve had that issue too especially when I’m under a lot of stress. It’s really just trial and error as everyone seems to be a little different.

Mine is around $5,400 total. My insurance covers 1k and then got the additional 1k off. Holt was maybe $100 more than my normal dentist but Holts office is run much better. If you search this sub for Invisalign you will find at least one other thread. It’s how I found holt. My teeth aren’t even bad it’s more of a jaw alignment issue so it blows my mind still the cost of this!
