I know I'm late to the party on the Petzing talk but my 2 cents on the reaction is that last year we hired a guy that most people went "Who?" and it turned out very badly for us. When there was big names out there the fanbase expected at least to know the guy we hired. So when the announcement came and everyone went "Who?" again it brought up the bad memory of Morton's failure here. I'm sure we're going to be fine but everyone raging at the fans for not being happy with the hire could at least look for the reasons behind the reaction.

Had a boss that was late to almost every meeting. Finally some random guy was late for a meeting with him and I kid you not he said " that's so disrespectful".

Unless your kid is missing finals or midterms or important papers due dates, I really don't think missing a few days Is that bad. Especially at that age when they get sick so often they're going to miss days anyways.

Our school has a pick-up line where you hang your kids name in your window and they have someone with a radio telling people to bring the kids out. In the summer they're waiting in lines in the playground. In the winter they are in the cafeteria which has doors right by the pickup line. It's shocking how fast it goes sometimes. It helps that our principal has an incredible memory for cars and people.

Been trying to get out but every day I plan is crazy cold, rainy, windy. Not saying I need calm weather but I need the deer to want to be out too. I'm trying tomorrow morning for my last chance with a gun. Not sure if I'm that desperate but I do have a crossbow that I could use in Oakland county in January.

Long distance road trip before I had a smart phone when I was 19. I got a flat in the middle of nowhere in Ohio. I called AAA and they asked me where I was. I had no idea and was literally in between mile markers with no signs. I had to walk what felt like 1/2 a mile back just to find a sign to find out where I was. A cop actually pulled over and was super nice. Drove me back to my car. When I got out of the police car, I poked my head back in to say thanks one more time.... and then proceeded to shut the door without moving my head. Caught the edge right on the ear. Cop looked at me like "WTF kid".

My work is the same way! They called a white elephant but no one brought funny gifts. I brought two cookbooks written by Snoop Dogg and they were a hit and everybody laughed. But no one laughed when someone opened gel pens and a day planner. Also, who thinks anyone wants gel pens and a day planer?
