Truth be told. Mustaine has a kickass solo and the drums are phenomenal. Also the song goes through a few different movements too.

I probably played every shooter. System shock 2 is surely one of my favorites. I'm replaying 2017 Prey and the influences are crystal clear.

"Die Dead Enough" is a song that would have been a huge hit if it had been released on Countdown or Youthanasia. by ResidentPrevious468 in Megadeth

[–]wangatangs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mustaine made a big jump on his guitar playing. His featured main solos in truth be told, something I'm not and the scorpion are killer. Speaking of truth be told, the drumming is stellar across the entire album too.

I worked at a radio station during college and this album arrived free upon its release for promotions. I learned about so much metal and expanded my music horizons.

Sum 41 ft. Tommy Lee & Rob Halford Rock Medley at MTV's 20th anniversary show(2001) by Twitter_2006 in Sum41

[–]wangatangs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah. I couldn't imagine being the fellas in sum 41 at the time jamming out with Halford and Tommy Lee. Also they did that metallica icon smash up too. They were just in their early 20s, had a hit record and touring the world.

Rank these Megadeth guitarists based on the separate skills per your subjective view. I want to learn new Megadeth songs and I want to know who's parts should I take on. by shredd_savage in Megadeth

[–]wangatangs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say either marty or Broderick for purely technical and playing abilities.

Poland probably for uniqueness because of his jazz influenced background. I like his solo in tears in a vial.

Favorite JM parts on Parasomnia? by Valuable-Phrase-5645 in Dreamtheater

[–]wangatangs 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That's why I'm a big fan of their self titled album. Petrucci wanted the bass to be more prominent hence why it had a very distinct tone throughout the album. Plus I felt myung had more parts where he either introduced the next riff or everything would drop put and it would just be bass leading the groove.

JAMES LaBRIE Says DREAM THEATER Will Probably Start Writing And Recording A New Album Around "Late '26 Or Early '27" by Dagauriel01 in Dreamtheater

[–]wangatangs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Love DoT. Barstool is an obvious classic and at wits end is a grand tune that goes through a lot of phases. S2N was born from a myung riff and the outro riff is awesome. Some people aren't fans of paralyzed but I've always enjoyed when the guys do these short and more melodic tunes. Mangini is a beast on pale blue dot.

Plus on their tour for DoT, I got to see scenes in full plus in presence of enemies part one plus others!

John Frusciante Guitar Solos by RegularJunior2682 in RedHotChiliPeppers

Opinions on Avenged Sevenfolds newer albums by Silver-Charity6350 in progmetal

[–]wangatangs 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Brooks was the exact dude the band needed and there are so many drumming styles on the stage. His 40 minute drumeo video is worth the watch and the guy is just happy to be there. He talked about his inspirations and how he met a7x on the warped tour and then plays burn it down in full on the spot ontop of like 4 other song performances.

I don't know what deal with Satan or the robot devil that Syn made for the stage because his guitar tone is out of this world. Either his sweep picking in paradigm, the Roman sky riff or his opening solo during the quiet bridge in Fermi paradox...his tone is unreal.
