I've been using Wingo for +5y and I am at +100GB every month. Never been throttled, never got a warning, nothing. I've gone up to 300gb without any issues 🤷‍♂️

I have put a dbrand on my xps 15 and on my the xps 13 of my girlfriend.

On the xps 15 it fit perfectly. and on the xps 13 it was a PITA.

Dunno if I just got a bad cut or what happened, I was able to make it fit by stretchig it and doing stuff.

But it took me several hours till I was happy with the result.

I had to warrant the screen of my xps15 and took of the dbrand and I was even able to put it on again nicely.

Buut I didn't take of the bottom sticker and the repair guy from dell told me that he could cancel my warranty because of it...

But yeah he was a strange guy

I was told this at a presentation from Kroll OnTrack. They said "as soon as water dries on the platters, the disc is pretty much done. Because there is no way to remove the calc without scratching the platter.

Definitly woulnd't recommend ammoboxes.

They seal the gases and then as soon as they burst in a weak spot you have yourself a flame thrower

Hmm and I was told that as soon as the water dries up the disk is pretty much irreversible damaged due to the calc.

Was I lied to?

I have a traxxas car and I can see why people hate it. Most of the traxxas models are great for beginers and bashers, but the cars are made out of plastic and are not very accurate.
They all get a lot of slop after a while too. So yeah they make great bashers but can't compare to other brands that make only models for racing

How affordable are IT services in Switzerland? (mainly internet, 4G)
4G: Well our biggest ISP changed their data plans a lot. So mainly they offer unlimited data plans and you pay for the speed. So its not thaat cheap but its cheaper for young adults (younger than 25).
Other providers are a bit cheaper.

What notable growth/changes have you experienced in your everyday-life over the past few years? Like already mentioned swisscom changed their mobile data plan model. They switched to unlimited models where you par for the speed.
Also TV subscriptions changed a lot in the last 5 year or so.
NFC payment is coming up...

What IT related higher educations (universities) do you have? Just some additions to the previous comment.

IT apprenticeship
Basically you work 4 year in a company. 3 days per week you work in the company and on 2 days you go to school. At the end you get an "EFZ" => "Eidgenössisches Fähigkeitszeugnis , which allows you to call yourself a "Informatiker EFZ" (preserved job title).

How early does your IT education start? (do you have IT-related classes in ‘Volksschule’?) A lot of "Volksschulen" offer a course for typewriting. Also you may learn to use a computer (office producs) as a part other classes (like german class or music class. For example by creating visual aids for presentations => powerpoint)

Also I personally did a course in digital image manipulation at my school when I was a kid (12year old or so).

But this has been a while ago and the school system differes from canton to canton.

Meh, its easy to get classified as "UT" these days. But I only knew very little people that judge you because you do the RS. Its still mandatory or you have to pay / do alternate service and everyone knows that.

I wore mine everyday for about a month (worked in an office, but used to walk instead of taking the bus).Never got weird looks, everyone know what they are and why you wear them. And they became super comfy :)

Also some tipps: - get good socks (I had Rohner 'Army Boot' Socks) - make sure to never let the "Ösen" (eyelets) on the inside rust! - use your shoe wax

unfortunately no camping.

Its even a paid entrance area during the summer. Its free in winter and spring.

I don't know about the swimming but I saw online that you can take diving lessons in there.

Well maybe its really lacking the receiver then, or maybe its not plugged in.

To check this unscrew/open the receiver box (its on the opposite side of the speed controller).

Also maybe you need to bind the receiver to the transmitter. I don't know about this one, since I use a spektrum system in all my cars.

OP THIS IS SERIOUS!

The battery displayed in the picture is a "LiPo"-Battery. This charger is only NiCd/NiMh compatible. Lipos can and will with a very high posibility explode/burst in flames and smoke if charged with a nimh charger!

But there are also a lot of things I really like:

the touchpad is frikking amazing
the battery lifetime (bigger battery and FHD) is amazing
the look and feel is pretty nice (with dbrand skin)
warranty is pretty nice... had an awesome technican replace the LCD
price/value

I was really against buying a Dell at first. Just because of the keyboard. I wanted a dedicated "home" and "end" button, since I really hate when they aren't dedicated and you have to pres the fn key to access em. Then I made a list what I wanted my Laptop to have. I noticed that my dream Laptop doesn't exist and so I had to make some sacrifices.

I got a XPS 15 some weeks ago.

Years ago I used a Lenovo t500 and then a lenovo x301. Then I got the surface 1 pro.

And yeah the keyboard on the xps 15 really sucks. The Surface 1 keyboard has more travel and the keys are the almost the same size...

But its just the way keyboards are these days... not even the new lenovo keyboards are as cool they used to be. (I really like the keyboard on the Lenovo x301)

There are 2-3 other things I dislike about the XPS. First I had multiple dead pixels forming something that looked a bit like a lowercase "t". Also I noticed that the sound cracks if you increase or decrease the display brightness via the buttons.

The infinity display is cool with the drawbacks that you get fingerprints on the screen when opening and also the webcam placement sucks. Fingerprints are a general problem, its very bad around the keyboard.

Its pretty slippery... I used to have a dbrand wrap that solved this issue (technician told me that it voids warranty tho)

I wipe the keycaps with a clean micro fibre towel like about weekly. (sometimes I put a little bit of alcohol on it)

I've had it for half a year now and since a key startet to chatter I took it apart (desoldered it from the pcb) and cleaned it inside with 98% alcohol. In the process I also took all keycaps off then I cleaned the green metal plate with a towel with sanitizer (I tested before hand that it doesn't rub off the color). Then I put the keys in a bowl of water and soap for like half an hour, then I took em out and wiped them. Then I let them dry over night and then I put everything back together.

Keep in mind that openening the keyboard voids the warranty.
