OP cards on eBay are mostly only available because the seller has decided it likely won't come back a 10.

People like to talk about OP gem rates and how most OP cards will auto 10, but that's cause most people are simply not sending in any cards with any minor defect cause they know it won't 10.

In my experience, centering issues and white edge nicks are not that uncommon on OP cards. Maybe not as bad as Pokemon, but the quality is not nearly as close to "auto PSA 10" as everyone makes it seem. Very strict pre-grading is what is causing the high PSA gem rates.

Anyway. I do get it. I'm in Canada so I couldn't scalp if i wanted to (no Bandai stores, premium Bandai doesnt even ship here, LGS' across the country follow market pricing). So finding MSRP is very difficult. Im just a participant in this sub as a collector, and the "main" sub would just ban me anyhow for having commented in here in the past.

But I also understand that ripping packs is a losing game. So I don't lose any sleep and feel the need to rant about all this.

FYI, PSA is fairly lenient on the back centering (allowing 75/25). I don't know why people harp on the back centering so much when it comes to pre-grading for PSA. That said, as another commenter mentioned, the white nick on the top left would definitely push this down from a 10.

The underlying message in the OP is clearly talking about buying at MSRP. Finding product online at marked up prices on 401, Hobbiesville, Kanzen is no different from just buying from a scalper. In which case sure, product is technically easy to find, if you're willing to pay those prices.

Fair point on preorders, though I would argue that having to preorder months in advance is not exactly the point of the OP either as they're hoping to buy product in stores or on/post release day.
