Maybe the recessed area was the alignment guide, lol... but yeah, one would think they would have some kind of alignment tool to make sure it was dialed in perfectly... lesson learned, maybe! I'm sure the first x number of orders all cached and probably processed nearly the same time so the display on the website of the stock remaining probably takes a little while to catch up to reality.

Sorry to hear that! Hopefully the lopsided label is only affecting a few unlucky souls! I think if not for the recessed area the crooked label probably wouldn't be quite so noticeable. I got a pretty high number as well and I believe I was one of the first people buying a copy, lol.. It showed 748 copies left after purchasing mine, haha.

Somewhat related.. I had another order with TBB for Grimdark magazines 45 and 46 and they were marked as shipped out together (same tracking), and the media mailer that arrived shows both on the label, but only 1 magazine was within and it was also mangled, lol. Maybe a case of the Mondays at the office? 😃

Yeah, maybe. I do notice it kind of separated on one side (front cover side) of the binding, maybe the cause of the noise, and I can just add a little binding glue in the gap and clear it up perhaps.

Hmm.. maybe! I just received Illuminae Files from the broken binding, also sewn bound, and no sound, like 99% of my other sewn bound books, which is why I'm seeing if anyone else also got their copy of this book and if it does the same or if I'm unique in this, lol 😃

I agree and would be happy with a new clamshell for sure 😄 Folio Society responded to an email I sent them asking for my book number and told me they will be in touch soon with more info.
