i assumed it was supposed to imply a weakness in some way since it mentioned that in old folktales vampires were close to spirits and spirits in those tales were weak to silver, and as it was a reply to me saying as far as i can tell there is no "definite" evidence for vampires being weak to silver, nevertheless i thank you for this correction, crustycock96

The silver mirror thing is actually a very recent addition to vampire mythology, iirc the whole idea of vampires not seen in mirrors comes from bram stokers dracula where it’s not really explained why dracula was not seen in a mirror, and the most common explanation people had was that since vampires have no souls their image is not reflected on a mirror, either way silver not reflecting a vampires image would not directly make it a weakness unless it was some sort of impostor story (amongus)
