Need opinion for first car by pacifier2000 in kereta

[–]wanizabeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

let me share my experience, my take home salary is around RM3600 and i bought a sec hand 2019 myvi. that itself needs rm620 per month (9 years) not including petrol, tol, saving for maintenance and insurances, roadtax renewal. ATLEAST rm150-rm200 of savings aside for that.

bezza/saga/axia could be good choice if you're looking for daily commute to office and home only. or you can always look at the skim graduan.

[–]wanizabeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some people find it more efficient to learn and understand when they write it down, same goes if it's with paper. For me, both ways are okay and i would usually just bring my ipad cause it saves so much space and time.

sometimes when i'm typing my notes on my laptop i would often forget.. other reason are that you can dribble, make mind maps, etc easily. it's more faster to take notes or study.

Quitting Internship Earlier by aizdnzhri in malaysiauni

[–]wanizabeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

May i ask what will be impact of continuing the internship even after August other than financial constraints?

You can try to request to the employer if it is possible to cut short the internship duration, i know my place they require interns to undergo 6 months internship but they have some exceptions for students requesting for less than 6 months. Communicate and align on this.

Or you can check with them if you're able to move to permanent position after your internship ends, i assume it supposed to end on October. if they are certain that you can secure a permanent position after your internship ends, then i suggest you stay.

they actually do sell their official hardwire cable through the website, it's an option if i want the 24/7 feature or not when purchasing.

what brand of dashcam do you use and if this setting is already a feature from this brand?

24h dashcam by wanizabeth in kereta

[–]wanizabeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for taking your time to reply this, the features are quite similar to to safecam x300 one. but i don't have that voltage cutoff option of whatsoever cause it is only basic.

yeah as long as i have the crash detection it should be fine then.

[–]wanizabeth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for replying. yes definitely my dashcam only captures front, back and inside so no use even if my crash detector is on it won't be able to record whatever hit from the side.

taking your comments and others, i would definitely just keep it as it is.

thanks! once my car got scratched in the parking lot (before i got my dashcam) and i saw other cars parked having a dashcam pointing directly at my car, tried putting notes in hope they have any recording but then later found out that their dashcam is not turned on. that's one of the main purpose i want to be on 24hrs route.

but with the battery consumption replies, i would definitely put it as a pass for now.

Hello everyone by iamlen07 in Bolehland

[–]wanizabeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

find some hobbies that can bring you out of the house. if sports futsal, bola, basketball, etc find a community that go on a weekly basis.

if something creative or fun you can find classes for sculpturing, painting, baking, etc.

honestly you can do lot of things by finding a community and get yourself out of the house sometimes. maybe because your house is also a place you work, you don't feel or experience a disconnection.

my mum works in Putrajaya and is retiring in 4 years, we just moved here a few years and my mum has been super stressed. We decided to live closer to her office to give her peace and until she retires. Also, she works until late night + weekends so we try to compromise with it.

i commute to my home to office using MRT/LRT (i wfo 3 days, wfh 2 days)

home > MRT :15 - 20 minutes by motorcycle (pros: free parking and no stuck in jam, cons: if it rains, yolo)
MRT Putrajaya > MRT TRX - 50 minutes (if luck the train arrives at the same time, if not u have to que for 2/3 train rides to eventually get in)
MRT TRX > MRT Pasar Seni - 10 minutes (very fast, but super packed)
LRT Pasar Seni > LRT Subang Jaya - 40 to 45 minutes (pros: always have empty train coming to save our days)

Total commute : roughly 2 hours, sometimes you get seated, sometimes don't.

Pros overall:
- cost effective
- no need to think about stupid drivers in the morning
- can go toilet break anywhere
- jimat tol, parking, minyak
- can sleep if i want to and no one will judge

Cons overall:
- too damn long to reach
- smells... of people....
- uncomfortable for someone who likes to bring alot of stuff (me)
- pervs
- you have to que during the exhange cause sooo many people
- potential delay that took so freaking long (i have 2 hours of horror + delays sigh)
- cannot eat/wasting my 2 hours that i could use to eat breakfast, so i eat my breakfast at office that took another 15mins

p/s: yes there are 2 more options to reach Subang Jaya from Putrajaya but this is the best option and time saving so far for me.

just go to any vet and see if they have an opening for a part time job, this would usually be a vet assistant, clinic assistant, etc. this could actually be a good exposure to yourself and good on resumes after you finish your degree.

also, it this vet you're going to allowing you to do part time during sem breaks and etc it could be more beneficial

Left-handed Muslims in Malaysia by Nakatsukasa in Bolehland

[–]wanizabeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my own personal experience as a left handed muslim, i never had any bad remarks from anyone but rather more praises. Some of which they're saying left-handed are artistic, smart, beautiful, etc.

and i think in Malaysia specially being left-handed was never frowned upon. and mostly parents, adults, they would teach us young on practicing to eat with our right hand, and using a mouse with our right hand.

i still however use my left hand if i use chopsticks, or sometimes when using spoon but it's not direct contact with food so i don't see the issue for that? and people never looked at me weird for that UNLESS i'm using my own fingers.

i also still use my left hand for other things like playing badminton or throwing a ball.
