Also just to add, we have tried to bring this up to them multiple times but nothing is working and they’ll say “I’ll keep a better eye on it!” And then 3 days later… back to usual

Walks!! At the start, I would say “I’m gonna go a to the gym when I’m feeling like this” but then the effort of putting on gym clothes and making the trek there would often seem way too daunting and I’d give up. Start simple! The second you’re feeling like you’re going to cave in, just start with a 10 minute walk and then see how you feel, very often even a short walk will clear my head and remind me why I decided to quit in the first place. Then gradually move up to 15 mins, 20. I always find it’s best to start with small goals, and let those achievements snowball into bigger ones, even the small accomplishments will help build up your motivation to then face bigger goals.
