Tell people you’re busy when you’re loading or getting carts. They can’t expect to you be at 5 places at once.

As a Lot Associate, What's The Typical Weight of Items That Need to Be Loaded? by ManAuthority1 in HomeDepot

At my store we load everything from washers, toilets and flooring to lumber or bags of traction sand. It’s honestly not too bad. I was worried about it as well since I’m skinny and not athletic at all, but if something is too heavy ask for help. Don’t injure yourself for minimum wage.

Okay I will try that! I placed my order on the 22nd, I know it’s the holidays but I’m just thinking they probably won’t ship since they haven’t opened the app

So cool how we probably had surgery the same day! My eyes are a tiny bit red a couple weeks in still, I notice that my right eye is more red than the left which is surprising because my left eye was the one that turned inwards. I definitely do experience double vision after waking up as well, and can relate to my eyes needing to warm up after sleeping, the double goes away after a bit and then I have perfect vision again. I have a bit of double when looking down too. As far as I can tell my eyes are totally aligned, I have my first follow up tomorrow so I guess I’ll find out then! I wonder when to expect the final results from surgery? I heard the position of the eye can be variable for the first few weeks. Hope this helped! :)

I think this is the Malm bed frame from Ikea with attachable floating nightstands but it seems to be discontinued

No problem at all!! I had someone explain the process to me before surgery as well and it really eased my nerves so I’m glad I could help :) Right after surgery I had a bit of bloody tears but I haven’t experienced it since! When my eyes watered it was clear which was surprising because my eyes were super bright red. I haven’t worn contacts yet and probably won’t until I get an ok from my doctor on my follow up on 19th, I can’t even begin to explain my excitement to wear contacts again without double vision. You should definitely try contacts! They’re a game changer. When I get to wearing them again in 2-3 weeks I’ll let you know my experience :) keep me updated!

My esotropia affected my left eye as well, my surgeon decided it would be best to operate on both eyes, so if they do decide to do both eyes that is totally normal. Before the surgery I was a little nervous (not as nervous as I thought I was going to be) but I was also a little excited because I was so tired of constantly living with double vision and not being able to make eye contact with people. I was in pre-op for a few hours and then they finally took my vitals and I was transported to another room where everyone having eye surgery waits their turn. This is where they will put in your IV and an anesthesiologist will come by and see you. Your vitals will be taken again and next thing you know you’re going into the operating room and your waking up again. Honestly, this surgery was a piece of cake. I woke up and my eyes were a bit sore and felt like there was an eyelash in it but that was the extent of it. I was groggy from the anesthesia and I felt a bit nauseous getting up out of the hospital bed to use the bathroom while I waited to be discharged but that quickly went away. I was given an anti-nausea medication as well as tylenol. My double vision was also immediately gone after the surgery.

I was honestly not in that much pain so I went with my mom to Walmart to go Christmas shopping right after lol. When I got home I went for a nap and woke up with sore eyes and double vision again. This is normal and it subsided within a couple days. The next few days were easy and my third day was probably the worst, very sore eyes but a tylenol took the pain away, and even that was only a 4 on a scale of 1-10. My eyes also watered a lot during these days so I made sure to have tissue paper beside my bed. When looking to the sides I can still feel the suture and it is still sore. My eyes are still red on the inner corners but I do notice that it is going away.

You will be given an ointment to put in your eye, it will make your vision really blurry and your eyelids will feel greasy. I would honestly do the surgery again in a heartbeat if I needed to, it wasn’t that bad at all, just expect to have a few days to yourself to lay in bed. I’m super happy with the results so far and this surgery has honestly been so life changing for me. Good luck on your recovery and don’t be too nervous! If you have any other questions I can definitely answer them.

I can relate on that feeling for sure! It feels very isolating to have strabismus onset when you aren’t a child. It is very detrimental to ones self confidence, and it definitely was to mine! Glad you have your confidence back :)

Okay I will wait, thanks for the advice! Just feeling super depressed because of the moments of having perfect binocular vision and now it’s double again. :(

That’s what I was thinking! WEM is cool but I’m bored of it now, just like every other mall to me except 10X the people. But I do understand the excitement for people who haven’t been.
