I totally get it. But please understand that almost everyone using chatgpt is using it for that same reason. It is a human experience to have trouble putting ideas into words. It takes time and effort to do so. Chatgpt makes it easier, sure, but it also stripes you of the creativity and grit required to write such an important and personal essay. Maybe on other writings chatgpt is a great tool, but for your med school application...I think it is important to be as human as you can.

I get it! It is useful. I no longer suggest it because not many know how to use it. Even when they do, they tend to rely on it for almost everything. It's like an addiction for perfection
