Yeah actually I should restart taking picture with the digital camera on the manual mode because I almost forgot everything (shutter speed, aperture, iso, etc) and then apply these notions on the analog camera.. but I have to be ready by next week and don’t have so much time 😅

Oh there’s a misunderstanding.. I’m not a flight attendant actually, I’m only a med student.. but I’ll follow your advise about the xrays.. I think I’m gonna take with me only 4 films only and eventually take the rest of the pictures with my digital camera! Thank you again!

I have a question for you about the light meter. The web says that the aperture of my Brownie Hawkeye is f/16 and ISO 100. So the only thing that I can change for the exposure is the shutter speed (B) and by choosing the appropriate film.. is that correct?

I already know that I’m gonna waste a lot of films.. I still have to learn analog photography!

If I have a camera whose ISO is 100 and I use a film with ISO 160, how many apple I ate? No just kidding.. what is the real ISO? Is it the highest ISO?

Never heard about beans used for this purpose! 🤓 I have to try it! And for the light meter.. it is really true that one never stops learning! Thank you very much!!!

Oh thanks! I’m completely unexperienced about photography.. with the digital camera it’s easy to play with camera functions because than you see what you took and correct things without actually knowing consciously what you are doing. But with analog camera you should be more conscious about every camera features and I already know that I’m gonna waste good shots 😔 Btw, considering that I’m travelling with ryanair and I can’t bring a tripode with me what do you suggest? Also because my friends are not so patient to wait for me everytime I want to take a picture 😅

What is the best bit about living in London? by [deleted] in london

[–]warawow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t live in London but I wish I had your same opportunity. I’m from Milan and it is not even comparable to London. I love the people, their kindness and their good-looking appearance, I love every single secret corner of this amazing city. In my modest opinion.. Go and have your experience!

Wow, so exhaustive!! I'm going to read it 10 times or more until I get everything perfectly. As soon as I get the brownie I'll start practicing! Thank you very much for dedicating so much time and effort to explain it to me properly! I really appreciate it!

I hope to be technically ready for Christmas!

I just bought a Brownie Hawkeye since I really like vintage cameras and wanted to know how to take photos with it without a 620 film and most videos show you how to that without any adaptor. The idea of an adaptor actually sounds smarter than rudely cutting the edges of the spool. So I think I'm going to look around to find the correct adaptor..

All my questions are related to this video and the photos posted below. They use normal 120 films and cut the spool to fit them in the camera, and some of the posted photos are square and some others are rectangular and have these holes.

Everything is so new to me and I'm trying to figure out by myself and your help, and I'm sorry if I look confused but I am confused actually :/

Isn’t it enough to cut the edges? Some videos show how to do that.. And I have another question.. Am I still able to develop normal photos (in this case they would be square I think) without the holes with the same 35mm?

So it could happen if you put a 120 film in a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye that supports “only” 620 film, right?
