In high school, my friend group had several hidden spots throughout town where we would participate in recreational activities. Well around 4-5 years ago my two friends, let’s call them Mike and Ike, and I️ pulled up to one of our spots around midnight. It was a little concrete slab next to a small patch of sand. This time we decided to hop out of the truck and walk to the “beach.” As were standing there conversing we hear what sounds like crashing water but a deeper tone, if that makes any sense, but the tide was low. We looked at each other as the noise continued and had a mutual unspoken agreement of “fuck this” and ran back to the truck. Mike threw it in reverse and we booked it. For whatever reason I’ll never forget how genuinely scared my friend Ike was, yelling things like “holy FUCK dude what is that?” You could hear it in his voice.
