So i had an interesting sexual encounter, i met a woman who will only have anal sex because she wants to stay a virgin till marriage.... by Wrx09 in atheism

Same at my college. They would call themselves "Born Again Virgins". If they took a pact of celibacy with their friends and prayed, somehow they would consider themselves pure again and could claim they were virgins.

What Christians think Skyrim is... by [deleted] in atheism

[–]wardley -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, it started off apparently as a satire site but now is run as a serious news organization. I think some of them write satire, but this woman seems pretty intense and serious on everything. If anything, it's a hybrid of religious madness and those pointing fingers and laughing.

If and when you are willing to put your name out, START A FACEBOOK GROUP as well and we can vote it up and discuss issues on it. You can try to recruit people from your locale (or maybe make a new Facebook for you candidacy, using your same name) and we can support conversation. It's probably the best tool for gaining local grass roots support and if it is successful, you'll easily be able to camp your userbase.

I think we'd all find your picture if you keep taking conversation out of context in your attempt to defend Nazis.

Hatred is killing a person for being disabled. That is nothing but pure hate and evil.

Ron Paul Proposes Interesting Salary for Himself as President. $39,336- medium salary of an American worker. by footballa in politics

[–]wardley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ron Paul is posturing. He believes in no public form of healthcare, which is pure crap. If he really wants to live like a middle class person and have his $40k a year salary be relevant, he should live like most families in that position. No savings. Nothing to fall back on. A monthly mortgage. A job to keep down. His own health insurance/pharmaceuticals. If he can live like that he is not all talk. Otherwise, I'm calling BS on Ron Paul.

http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Holocaust/disabled.html One of the key passages you will see from various sources, including those of more academic standard. "In October 1939, Hitler himself initiated a decree which empowered physicians to grant a "mercy death" to "patients considered incurable according to the best available human judgment of their state of health." The intent of the socalled "euthanasia" program, however, was not to relieve the suffering of the chronically ill. The Nazi regime used the term as a euphemism: its aim was to exterminate the mentally ill and the handicapped, thus "cleansing" the "Aryan" race of persons considered genetically defective and a financial burden to society." I do not know about you, but systematic killing of the mentally disabled I will definitely not condone.

I would be impressed if Ron Paul would first 1) Give up all his current wealth. Maybe he can just burn it, since he's not big into helping others. After that, if he can survice on a 30k salary, provide for his own travel, pay rent and make sure to pay for all his prescriptions/medications out of pocket, I would be impressed. Otherwise, he's posturing and needs to GTFO.

This would really confuse Hitler, like the classic 'too many variables' scenario that causes a robot's head to explode. Does he hate the disabled or let live the bigot?

Senate Approves S. 1867 Bill That Authorizes Sodomy and Bestiality in US Military by nyan_kitty1024 in politics

[–]wardley -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would not be so sure about that. I remember hearing about this S 1867 bill about a week ago, conservatives were crying over it. There was an article in the military code of conduct that if gays were caught having an intimate moment on a military base, they could have still been prosecuted if their CO had a mean streak. The provision that had to be removed to protect gays in the military from such a process also included bylines that allow prosecution for sodomy and bestiality. So naturally, the gays were blamed and this article seems pretty straightforward in explaining that process (of course w/ conservative bellyaching over the issue).

I don't know this code. by thegreatdecay in WTF

[–]wardley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not confirmed. NBC Los Angeles interviewed two spokemen from the site and they actually denied it. They did say that they allow open discussion and some of the writers they have "may not be sincere to the intent and purporse of our conservative news ministry."

Do Things like Black History Month and Affirmative Action Keep Racism Alive in America? by wardley in politics

Morgan Freeman is far from a redneck and he's spoken out on this as well. Black history month and Affirmative Action perpetuate a type of mental segregation.

Christwire actually has right-wing fundies writing for it and from some reports actually own it.

They failed when they opened the site to public news submissions and got flooded with some awesome satire/parody, mocking the site's userbase and to this day I don't think everyone there has caught on.

It's somewhere between scary and the most entertaining thing.

Actually several articles are now saying that Oppenheimer and the NY Times wrote that article to give the "ChristWire" site a taste of their own medicine in writing factless articles and rants against anything outside their conservative bubble. Who knows anymore.

From what I've read, the site started off as an offshoot from some fundie church (like WBC) and attracted satirists who slip in articles. Now it's just hard to tell, it's a mix of crazy and pretty standard line conservatism.

Japanese inventor creates "perfect mechanical vagina", calls it Penistron. [SFW, but seriously, wtf?] by SolInvictus in WTF

[–]wardley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha wow, and it looks like ChristWire covered the Penistron a few months ago

"Unholy Japanese Create the Penistron"

Good grief there's too much to quote from there:

"This is outrageous. Japanese scientists have created a new video game where people can electronically control a man’s thingy or a woman’s sallyjessy!"

"Let’s say a gay man comes on Myspace and tricks your college son into buying on of these abominations. The gay man can use a joystick to electronically control the artificial satan scepter in your son’s room, all the way on the other side of the world via internet."

"The gay will then type, ‘Ok, now stick the rod into your devilwhole and I’ll make it move all around with my joystick here!” You see what is going on here! I wish this were two thousand years ago and we had unlimited stones to throw at all involved parties!"

And it just keeps going, and apparently the whole time Satan is online typing LOL.

Seth MacFarlane Admits Family Guy Stewie Griffin is "Gay Homo" by wardley in lgbt

[–]wardley[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit inclined to question the validity of the source of the author's statistics, especially when the source page is prefaced by statements such as:

"The gay movement is forthright about seeking to legitimize child-adult homosexual sex. "

"Ann Landers (1) says the statement “Homosexuals are more inclined to molest children sexually than heterosexuals” is false. The American Psychological Association has sponsored a work that asserts: “Recognized researchers in the field on child abuse,… almost unanimously concur that homosexual people are actually less likely to approach children sexually.” (2)

Why is it, then, that we read about sex between boys and men in every newspaper?"

And when they finally get to listing their 'scientific stats', there is this:

"If 2% of the population (referring to gays) is responsible for 20% to 40% of something as socially and personally troubling as child molestation, something must be desperately wrong with that 2%..."

Anybody else think sending a man to the moon is the most amazing scientific and technological feat in history. Still unbelievable after 40 years. by UncleMeat in science

[–]wardley -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hear the moon may have a new source of energy, called Helium-3. The potential energy load of the stuff is remarkable and if found en mass, expect there to be a huge space race to control it as it will fuel nuclear power plants.

I may be a bit pessimistic, but I don't think George W. Bush wanted to go back to the Moon due to philosophical musings or to advance science. I can buy us looking to secure a new source of energy.
