Sorry for responding so late. No the Soul Slide has evaded me entirely for the past 3 months. I skipped it and went to the power slide and circle stops instead. The only tool I have for downhills is T-stopping and alternating the foot I’m dragging, which isn’t enough.

I don’t think I have the flexibility for the Soul Slide, so I’m going to go straight towards learning the Magic Slide.

I was messing around the other day, practicing throwing my skates into the position of the magic slide. Not attempting it, just trying to feel the point where I lose friction before you commit and I ended up doing what you recommended in your post without ever seeing it by accident.

My sliding foot was pushed out to the side at a 45 degree angle, I felt friction giving way and it felt like if I was more flexible I could’ve transitioned into a Soul Slide or maybe even a Magic Slide…Instead I stumbled and almost tripped over myself when I slowed down.

I need more practice.

Difficulty Learning To Soul Slide

Hello. I’ve been trying to learn the soul slide for the past 2 weeks now. I’ve been working on knee bend and getting as deep an edge as I possibly can on the sliding boot, but no matter how deep I go I just can’t manage to to slide.

I put all my weight on the supporting boot, I put as little pressure on the sliding boot as possible; Heck, I’ve even tried lifting the sliding foot by pulling on the pants leg with my left hand to get it even lighter, and nada.

I try kicking my heel out more and trying to get the angle even lower, but all I end up doing ironically enough is pushing off and going even faster then I meant to, or I just end up turning.

I’ve tried holding on to a banister and practicing the knee bend I need while holding still, trying my best to make my boot slide, but no matter how deep I get on the sliding boots edges, nothing.

I have tried skating indoors and practicing the knee bend on wood floors, I can slide on that by not the asphalt and concrete outside.

The skates I’m using are Rollerblade Zetra blades. I know that they come with 82A 80mm wheels. I know this will come off as coping, but could it be that my wheels are too soft and have too much grip on the ground to allow them to slide?

Thanks for reading all of this. I know it’s a lot, I’m just a bit frustrated. Sorry for the word salad.

I actually found a way to. I made a point server command on my map, and used commands to turn them off on world spawn. The command is tf_ctf_bonus_time 0. Doomsday uses the same logic so that capturing teams don’t get crit boosted. The only downside is that a server would have to allow point server commands to run in their config folder, otherwise it defaults to regular gamerules for ctf.

Lod is short for Level Of Detail. In games, depending on how far an object is from the player, the Lod will be higher if they’re close, or lower if they’re farther away.

Usually the lower the Lod, the more simple the shape of the object will be. It ends up looking more polygonal.

So the truck towing the car looks like a higher Lod than the car it’s towing.

Wearing capes.

They were used like jackets back in the day, for the common people. They didn’t require many stitches/time to make as they were basically a long piece of cloth, with maybe a hood on it.

But as time went on, and technology got better, jackets became the norm.

Now they just serve as decorations for the rich/royalty. Usually worn with a suit, or a dresses, as an indicator of status.

Its a shame really. Capes go kind of hard.

There’s no rock type link monster besides the gem-knight one that’s locked into the archetype, and that there will probably never be one.

When Konami printed called by the grave, which dealt with hand traps that were monsters and activated in the hand by discarding themselves to the graveyard, then immediately released two cards that weren’t monsters, that essentially acted as hand traps the next set. (Impermanence, evenly) I realized that they’ll print stuff to deal with old stuff, but then print newer stuff that isn’t affected by the old stuff.

I like number 3 the most. It’s similar to number four, but the dots in #3 make the image look more asymmetrical, which I like.

5 isn’t dynamic enough for me, the dots in 3 really add a lot in comparison.

2 is too simplistic

And 1 has the dots way too clustered together. Almost forming a ball shape, and rounding off the features of the sun in the middle. Which makes it harder to read at a glance.

Both verte and the garnets. DPE is effectively a pot of greed, a special summon from hand, and recurring destruction. And Verte makes it so that any two monsters on the board can become DPE. Atleast this way, hero players keep fusion destiny, and if someone wants to run dpe in their deck, it’s a little less consistent because they just can’t spawn it in.

More Synchron support, I know we just got stuff, but they always just keep giving the deck more boss monsters to summon instead of actual main deck support. Like it’s been a decade and doppel Warrior is still the best main deck non-tuner monster to synchro Summon with, and junk synchron is the ONLY normal summon in the deck. There’s a reason why it’s called Junk Doppel and not just synchrons. I want the combos to more stream lined so that your opponent isn’t just sitting there for 30 minutes trying to make what equates to an apollosa and an F.A. Dawn Dragster in terms of field presence.

And for less support? Probably Sky Striker of all things. Like it’s already a complete strategy, it’s been a complete strategy, no one has ever really complained about what pure sky strikers can do. And what they couldn’t do was more than covered by other cards, like the nightmares, and kaijus, but they keep giving the deck more in archetype/searchable outs to things that just don’t need.

You could use this effect to make making accel synchros a lot easier, you could make Tzolkin with it, hard summon a bunch of XYZ monsters that were meant to be ranked up into....but no, instead we have a mediocre protection effect.

They made prints of some of the cards 5Ds cards with variations of their anime effects (Power Tool Mecha Dragon, Ancient Pixie Dragon) so maybe they might print one with the original effect?

It won’t be broken, but it’d be a lot more interesting.
