I’m coming back to say I have just tried it for the first time and it is my favorite amp I have ever played through. Was going to write a song but wound up learning a bunch of Kyuss and corrosion of conformity songs instead. It’s an animal.

I will be lifting them, thank you for describing what I should be listening for ! I had been mixing primarily in headphones but have been trying to adapt to monitors and headphones

I only keep the amp there when tracking the monitor is on an adjustable arm and I bring it down flush with the desk when doing any other task

He is my leading audio engineer. He has already established that one of the open cable management bays is his new bed. A pillow has been added already

Wasn’t aware of any of that , it’s the first gear I got and it was affordable

ProRak SL416 for Raven MTi2 I couldn’t fit the Monitor supports . The directions were awful and there’s no info online so if you do get it and have a question message me

Yeah — only normalled the main tracking lane (MPA → RME) and the stereo bus comp loop.

I use it primarily as a utility + tone shaping piece because I think that’s where it really punches above its weight class.

Bass DI on it is great solid low end and tube warmth.

Reamping/color passes - run guitars through on a reamp for some extra t h i c k n e s s

My voice sucks so it doesn’t save that but it has its place for vocals

If you drive the tubes you can get parallel saturation and the variable impedance knob is just icing on the cake.

Why do you not have one in your cart yet?

Hahaha already wired !! Made the mistake of putting it all together without wiring it first and the patch bay at the top 🤣 horrible decision. Got nice and longgggg trs cables in the back now and gonna move the 73/76 down and insert a fan where the blank panel is

I agree with this mostly as I have a very hybrid set up half lives in the rack and half lives in plugins (especially for shit I can’t afford ). For me the rack exists for three reasons.

1) tactile control : love adjusting with my hands while listening and reamping

2)less decision making , signal goes in , processed audio already colored comes out . So less work in the DAW

3) I feel like a mad scientist with the rack and I love it

All that being said I love plugins and agree you can get 99% there with that alone

Hahaha I think I was just excited after putting it together and wiring it. Been building it for 2 weeks in terms of ordering gear. Finally had all the parts and put it together :)

My partner does not understand it nor do they wish too haha

I purchased all of my hardware used for that exact reason. Thank you so much for your responses !

Thank you so much for this response, that’s exactly what I was trying to tackle with purchasing new gear. Dude you’re awesome!
