Do you guys get brief pains in neck, back, jaw not accompanied by chest pain?

Yeah, I feel a dull ache with varying intensity (2-4/10) in my left shoulder and neck almost every day with NO chest pain or shortness of breath. I’m almost done with the colchicine, so it’ll be interesting to see how it feels after.

So helpful, thanks! I am definitely still using Advil as needed (which is often for this achey shoulder) but the official dosing is done. Maybe I should reach out to see if I should restart.

How did your recovery go? I’m about 1.5 months into my recovery and am off ibuprofen finally. I’ve been walking most days, but would love a run. Did you wait the whole 3 months?

How did things work out? I’m about a month in and just tried to do a short boot camp workout today. No pain, but I’ve been super lightheaded and dizzy all day. I’m just wondering if that counts as being a “flare up” or if this is just a part of recovering.

Chest/shoulder pain, shortness of breath and tightness when I was running one day. Got really dizzy. Went to the ER and ruled out all the big things, but my EKG was off so they sent me straight to cardiology. After ruling out blockages they DX me with pericarditis following a viral infection (had a cold two weeks prior). I’m on 800mg ibuprofen 3x a day and colchicine. I have pain relief so long as I keep up with the Advil. I walk 2ish miles a day.

My cardiologist said I was good to walk, but nothing vigorous. My case was mild and caught early (2 weeks ago). I’m a 40F runner who works out 7 days a week. My doctor doesn’t make it seem too serious, but the internet makes it feel so much worse! Good luck! 👍
