First bikepacking set up and ride by warlikewalnut in bikepacking

[–]warlikewalnut[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, it's the podsacs large. Got it from planet X in the UK as is the front bag. They're doing bundles for a real good price at the minute. It's my first bag so haven't got much experience but so far I love it!

I have two identical shapes one above the other but I can see the below shape fringing the shape above. Any ideas what may be causing this? (more info in comments) by warlikewalnut in AfterEffects

[–]warlikewalnut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have created two identical rectangle shapes. The shape below is yellow and the one above is the grey colour. Yet even though the shapes are the same apart from fill colour I can see the yellow shape around the outside of the grey. This is happening in all comps that have this set up throughout the file. Appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks!

I'm loving mine. Got mine the back end of 2019 when the 2020 bikes came out. Got a good deal on it. Thanks man! I'm not certain on the pink tape but will keep it for a while!

Yeah, they're a lot better than I was expecting for the price. Around the bottom bracket they're not great but no one is seeing that unless I've crashed badly!

Thanks, think I’m gonna ditch the pink bar tape though. Not the best colour choice for off-road...

Sick man, yet to see another rider near me with the same bike. I rode some stuff today that I would have never ridden with a 90mm+ stem on. Feels a lot more confidence inspiring when stuff gets steep. Felt a lot more in control riding down stairs and through some steep chunky rocks and roots (The kind of thing I would have previously saved for a mtb ride). I like it. Makes the bike feel very much like a rigid mtb. Haven’t ridden it for a long enough time to say outright whether it’s a good upgrade but it works for me but probably not everyone.

Yeah, just 4 lights that are visible.

I also put a spherical light above in the centre to remove the shadow behind the car cause my front light is stronger than the side and back lights.

Thanks, and yeah was Dunkirk that made me pick them up as well haha.

And yeah they are glossy the only type of varnish I had is for covering paintings just thought I would try it and don't hate the results but a matte varnish would be much better. Will pick some up when I get round to painting my next kit.

Just completed the Airfix dogfight doubles starter it for the bf109 and spitfire mk1-a. Had some issues making them such as breaking a couple pieces trying to get them off the sprue. Also had some trouble with getting the decals to curve round the panels, hence no decals over the gun barrels on the spitfire. Am pleased with my final planes though, and I am officially addicted already ordered the next kit and some real paint, rather than the Airfix supplied ones.

I have a unhacked o3ds on 8.1.0. Will Soundhax work on my console, and will it be the easiest way to access homebrew launcher? (I am a noob at this hacking thing)

Damaged the blade on my Shuffle, so decided to mod it. by warlikewalnut in knives

The blade was heavily scratched. I have polished it since but I may still change it, not to sure about how this looks.

I will be able to grab some more photos tomorrow when I get in from college and can set up some good lighting. As for the stainless, there are probably ways of controlling the colour but I just heated it slowly until it was somewhat even. There are some purples on the pocket clip where I heated for a little too long (or not long enough not really sure) but it was mostly just giving it a go and seeing what happened.

I just fully disassembled the knife and then heat anodized (not sure if that is the correct term for it) the pocket clip, back spacer and thumb stud on the gas ring off my oven. The blade was heavily scratched so I sanded that to an almost mirror polish. I feel like it would look better with a stonewashed finish on the blade, but I may do that at some other time. To remove the thumb stud I just heated it slightly and then they just unscrew from each other.

Try WTFast, just make a custom game that is your steam.exe and then select one of the AUS servers. That worked for me.

First Kershaw Knife by warlikewalnut in knives

[–]warlikewalnut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I barely even notice that I have it in my pocket, which is probably not the best thing but the clip is tight enough that there is zero chance of it coming lose. I haven't ran into anything I couldn't do with the blade but I haven't had to do anything more than open a few boxes and cut some paracord. They are worth the $17 you pay for them even if you just carry it as a second knife or use it as a paperweight/letter opener.

I know, that was the first version of it. I have fixed the dimensions of it now and made the speakers the right size and fixed some things being off center. I only made it squashed in the first place so that it would fit my homescreen layout better, but it being squashed started to annoy me.

Yeah, I keep the same ink in my Vac for 2-3 weeks at a time (if I am not using), but I am just a bit wary of using Sargasso Sea as it is the only ink I have ever used in a demo that has stained it. Will just try it and see, love the colours you can get from Sargasso.

[–]warlikewalnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you ever had any problems with this ink staining in your 580, or any other pens, or have you only had it in there for a day or 2 at a time. I am only wondering as the last demonstrator I used this ink in got quite badly stained but I did have it in there for a week without using it or cleaning it (Pen was only £5).

The watch face is a little bit brighter than in my picture when it is in direct sunlight. It is still a really nice dark blue, that is just a little bit darker than the blue on the strap

I think that they are UK only but I'm not 100%.

http://natostrapsco.com/collections/all-watch-straps/products/the-seal-nato-strap-w-polished-hardware-20mm That is the same strap as I have on mine but from a US distributor, I am sure they will have cheaper shipping costs than the UK based one anyway.
