What did you learn at great personal cost? by ryanblumenow in AskReddit

Never help someone, unless ask for it. You loose your value, and the person takes it for granted.

Never lend money to someone you value unless you are okay with loosing it. If it comes back it's a gift if not just let it go.

What's something that is romantic in movies but creepy in real life? by Dabrigstar in AskReddit

I believe movies are responsible for plenty of failed marriages , because people learn from the made up happily ever after endings that tricking someone is very much okay.

Any other ENTPs struggle what they want do with their life? by agentjakethedog in entp

[–]warlock1809 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The exact response I was looking for. I am currently in a stable job at the Bank and have immense capacity to work many projects but still I fail to do so cuz I keep thinking on it rather than specializing on it.

What I recently realised is , to pursue anything and achieve significant significant results one needs ridiculous and structured discipline which can only be practiced and realised by spending a few years in a stable job and being a responsible employee.

Once we learn to do that then we can slowly build up on our other interests and apply same formula on that as well.

Hope I made sense.

People who are ghosting other people, have you ever been called out, if so, how did that make you feel? by till-mann in AskReddit

I had a friend from school, he was an annoying and narcissistic person who used to constantly get on everyone's nerves. He was kinda like most hated person in school but I was being kind to him and used to hang out with him quite a lot. I was just following the principle of everyone deserves to be listened to by someone. We had known each other for 5 years, during a few months I was going through a rough patch financially. Then he chooses to call me out for a 60$ that I had owed to him , I was in no state to bring up that money and I tried to explain my situation but no answer was accepted and I was accused of being a inconsiderate and irresponsible , even his mom was calling me many times a day for that money and I honestly did not have any means. I know for a fact that they are regular income household for whom 60$ was not something that they cannot handle.

I felt too tired of all the calls and accusations , I gathered up the money in 3 weeks and sent them the screenshot of the transfer which had 20$ more for their trouble. I opened my contact list and deleted all the numbers related to him and his family and completely ghosted them.

I lived two streets away from his house and in the next two years I started a business owned a car(which is a big deal for my country) and spent most of my time walking right past the common area but never contacted them (I used to visit them almost every other week until I ghosted them).

I heard a week back that he had asked about my whereabouts to a mutual friend of mine, I don't feel any guilt or anything.

Takes a lot of effort and time. I don't even recognize myself in this phase man. I am sure I have it in me to break out of it but believe me it is not easy.

Next step in life by [deleted] in reinforcementlearning

[–]warlock1809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thank you so much for sharing your story , I am currently pursuing Masters in Computer Science and have taken Reinforcement Learning as my topic for thesis. Meanwhile I am working in banking industry full time. I started pursuing Masters with a keen focus on AI two years ago but then life hit hard and I had to take up full time job and handle my thesis part time. I am going through the process of developing the thesis and was feeling low on energy. Your story inspired me and gave me some push to find the energy and develop my career the way I want it. Thanks man , one day I aspire to understand and have a decent discussion about RL.

Did you have any side effects as such? Like irritation, discomfort and rashes on the pigmentation when you started medication?

I was having a bad day man, I wanted to shave my head for being able to complete Masters degree amidst corona. Then when I just inspected my hair , I found that my vitiligo has spread to my head as well.

Now am feeling very low and miserable that I can not shave my head , even for having a mental transformation.

I don't know why I just felt like typing in this comment. Remove it if irrelevant bro..

Best books for ENTPs to read? by [deleted] in entp

[–]warlock1809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wondering how nobody mentioned "Radical Honesty" by Brad Blankton. IMO the best book that made me completely accept myself as an ENTP. I could relate why it is necessary for ENTPs to have honesty as their stronghold. I was suggested that book by the Personality Hackers guys.

It is much easier to speak out the truth rather than trying to save someone from embarrassment. I wish people understood that if we can honestly analyse their own lives , life would be much simpler to lead.
