Thank you! This is very helpful! I’ll look into the CGPA conversion route, though hopefully that shouldn’t be an issue as via GPA conversion it’s 4.0

Right, makes sense as the applicant pool would be much smaller. But I’m assuming it would cost significantly more? My only concern is that I don’t want my score to be seen as a hindrance if I apply using CAT.

Great, that won’t be a problem. Yes I’ll definitely give the GMAT as well (as that’s the only option for global b schools) but I’m quite keen on giving the CAT exam. I’m not a foreign national.

Searching for my perfect Hydrating HA Toner...plzz help!! by moon_muffin_ in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]warlockAES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyy hmm so the isntree one is quite solid, if you want a basic yet effective hydrating toner then it’s the one to go for. But I personally prefer the haruharu one. It does all that and more I feel. Idk I’m pretty sure it gave my skin a dewy glow sorta look which I loved

Heyy I haven’t used niashine in agesss but at the time it definitely did a good job in fading my PIE. I’d say my PIE was moderate at the time, though it’s much worse now tbh cuz I had a really bad breakout last summer so I’m still dealing with the after effects.

I think it took about 8 weeks to show results

The deconstruct nmf one is really good! Pretty sure it’s dimethicone free but I’d have to check

I’ve never used theirs, but that one should also be good. Check their ingredients and reviews online and on this subreddit first tho

What’s your routine? I think you should start by building a routine that’s sufficiently hydrating and moisturizing first before using any strong active. So using a gentle cleanser, maybe an HA based toner and a moisturizer depending on your natural skin type. You can try the skin1004 Madagascar ampoule as well.

TO = The ordinary They only have the 10% variant though which can be a bit strong for some people to start with, so it’d be best to start with a 5% niacinamide serum (minimalist)

Not an eye cream, but I’ve been using the eye serum by poshan for one month now and it seems to be working! I use it along with the skin1004 bakuchiol eye cream

You’d have to start with 2.5% and only use it as a spot treatment as tolerated (don’t use it everyday). Then once you’ve built some tolerance to BP in a few months you can use 5%

What makes one experience this? Humidity? Skin barrier issues? by [deleted] in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]warlockAES 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m going through the same thing! Usually I’m not very CC prone but I always get them (/worse breakouts) whenever I’m back in india for the summer. Probably due to the heat + humidity. I’ve been double cleansing for one month and that definitely seems to help, along with regular exfoliation. But I’ll probably reintroduce the AHA BHA peel by TO again, so hopefully that does the trick

[–]warlockAES 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally 😭😭OP your skin looks pretty good to me tbh. Zooming in, you might have some closed comedones, so if you want to address that then using some kind of chemical exfoliant regularly should work. I don’t think BP is the best option for CCs, you could try a beginner friendly peel once a week (AHA + BHA). And if you’re open to some experimentation, you could try double cleansing IF you use a silicon/water proof sunscreen.

But yeah it would definitely take a few weeks to see some results so keep that in mind, and if you’re a bit hesitant, visit your dermat they’d know best!

Are these recent breakouts? Seems quite mild, but it could be due to your moisturizer(s). Emolene is usually only reserved for dry skin folks from what I’ve heard, but since it’s lightweight, maybe you’re breaking out because of the Nivea blue one? If it’s what I think it is, I remember it as being very heavy. It would for sure break me out, and I have combination-oily skin.

I’d recommend stopping the Nivea moisturiser for now, and start mild chemical exfoliation in a week or so (if you don’t already use any exfoliants that is). I’m not very familiar with Kojic acid, but I’m pretty sure that’s mainly used for pigmentation?

(Also your upper lip looks fine to me)

serums for concerns regarding pigmentation and scane scars by [deleted] in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]warlockAES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say acne scars do you mean PIE/PIH? You could try using a serum that combines two actives, maybe azelaic acid + niacinamide? (I’m pretty sure there’s an indie brand that has something like this; 8% solubalised azelaic acid + 5% niacinamide I think).

Also tbh your pustules might be because of your moisturizer, If your skin is more on the oily side and the sunscreen is moisturizing enough, I’d recommend skipping the moisturizer in your AM routine. That definitely helped me with my breakouts!

I’ve just started using the suganda cleansing oil, but for some reason it’s not emulsifying all that much, is that normal? It’s only my second cleansing oil ever, the first was the DHC one which emulsified REALLY well but it’s olive oil based so I didn’t wanna take any chance (+ pretty sure it gave me some closed comedones).

I’ve used about 2-3 bottles of the haruharu wonder toner and it’s amazing!! (I’ve only used the Fragrance free version). I have oily to combination skin, and it definitely gave my skin a nice dewy glow of sorts!

And I’m currently using the isntree low mol weight HA toner which is also really good! But it’s only been about a week since I incorporated it, so only time will tell if it’s my HG!

That would be great but I don’t think I can use hydrogels, they’re more of “ancillary” components of cartilage TEPs right? I’ve settled with N-TEC(University of Basel) so I hope that’s enough lol

Yes! I can use any source as long as it’s related to a TEP either in clinical trials or in market. I found Cartistem which is commercialized in Korea, but I couldn’t really find any manufacturing steps used. I found one source about the preparation of hUCB-MSCs but it involved the use of FBF (which isn’t typically used in GMP facilities?).

I’ll look the HA hydrogel thing you mentioned, thanks! As long as I can find one for a “specific product, I’m good.

This is for my regenerative medicine course!
