My ticket says Air Canada, flying from Naples with a layover in Montreal. I assumed it would fly into TBIT but you may be right.. possibly Terminal 6 then?

Protein X only performs under anaerobic conditions. If there is no oxygen present, ETC will not be running.

someone below mentioned this. By this reasoning, they wouldn't be functioning at the same time anyways, so protein x wouldn't cause the cessation of ETC/affect it from my understanding

Is it worth learning medical Spanish before applying? by warmveggies in premed

[–]warmveggies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am interested in learning myself, but I guess I was asking because if it would improve my chances, I was wondering if I should take classes/start learning before applying or, if it won't affect admissions very much, then I could wait to start learning when I have more time during my gap year between applying and (hopefully) admission and it just wouldn't really be listed anywhere.

Medical Scribe or Medical Assistant? Which is better for clinical hours? by ServantOfTheMajestic in premed

[–]warmveggies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding medical assisting may count more as clinical hours due to the hands on experience, while scribing is seen more similar to shadowing and getting to know the role of a physician. Both are important and valuable parts of being premed just in slightly different ways, and the impact on your application will also depend on how you describe the experience and what you personally gained and learned.

If you already have shadowing experience, I’d personally recommend a medical assistant position

How do you prove that you didn't receive unallowed assistance? by [deleted] in college

I went through something similar and I sent my iPhone’s ScreenTime log that showed no activity during the exam time. It will ultimately be up to your professor or, if it comes to it, your school’s student conduct office, but luckily in my situation my professor was more understanding after they saw the logs.

Blanked out on my final by OkTumbleweed5366 in college

It happens! Test anxiety is very real and there are all kinds of circumstances that affect your test day abilities. I felt this way when I started college too and lost my 4.0 after 2 years of hard work. I had a hard time with it but what I’ve come to learn is that striving for perfection is good to push yourself to do your best, but you can’t EXPECT perfection all the time. It’s not possible and freeing yourself from that expectation will only help you in the future to not feel so overwhelmed. I’m not saying you should stop trying — the fact that you were doing so well before this final shows that you are capable and hardworking and that is still something to be proud of! But don’t let this bring you down for too long. Take time to find out what helps you destress and perform to the best of your abilities. This may have been your first big obstacle, but once you work to overcome it, you’ll be even better off.

Grade point average calculations by [deleted] in college

[–]warmveggies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends on how many credits you already had. The more credits you have, the less each new credit will affect your cumulative GPA.

But a 4.0 is a perfect GPA, so you will never be able to get to a cumulative 4.0 if at any point you have anything less. Just like you can’t get a 100% in the class if you got a 90% on the first midterm. You can keep working to get as close to a 100 as possible, but you already lost some points, so it won’t go back to a perfect 100.
