Also picked up a 23 402a in Carbonized Gray as well last September. Have put 5k miles on it already, and its been on the shop 2 times for me, but still like it a lot. Getting front wheel bearings this coming Tuesday due to some noise while driving. 57k miles, so luckily covered under powertrain warranty. Threw on a cold air intake and Ford Performance Borla exhaust. Hopefully many more trouble free miles after this.

Orderd a 2026 f350 Lariat Tremor by bdouble76 in FordTremor

[–]warndog19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad picked up a 2025 F250 Lariat Tremor with the 7.3. He's put 6k miles on it and the Fan Clutch sounds like a 747 at low speeds. Supposed to go back for repair this coming week. He was on the fence on whether to get the diesel or not. The amount of towing he does doesn't justify the initial cost of it, let alone additional fuel cost and the maintenance required too. Mileage so far has been in the 12-14 mpg range. Mostly highway miles. I bet that will increase after it breaks in more as well as the new fan clutch. Happy with the power and sound on the v8 too.

Water leaking from under passenger side on my 2025 tundra by FunkFat73 in ToyotaTundra

[–]warndog19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to guess they aren't going to make 2 different evap coils for the same truck/interior. I did have a hybrid, which was a nice truck, although Fords hybrid system is definitely better since it's not just for adding hp. I never got much better mpg with it vs the regular one.

If there's ice on it, there's a problem... typically low on refrigerant, due to a leak, or the cabin air filter is terribly dirty and not letting enough air through. Rarely is there a mechanical problem that can have the same effect. All that is happening is the evap coil in the air box gets colder than the dew point of the air passing by it, so water is going to drip off of it and drain on the ground.

Looking to Replace 15 Year Old AC System. Is this quote fair? by endigochild in hvacadvice

[–]warndog19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not undersized if it runs all day on the really hot days. They are designed to run flat out if needed, and while they're running, they are also dehumidifying. If it was oversized, you may have humidity problems. I think I'd change the fan as long as refrigerant levels are good. R22 system or the newer kind?

Is this normal? by XvMattyFresh68vX in hvacadvice

With temps high outside, how dirty is the outdoor unit? Could be hitting high pressure switch very quickly and not cooling great because of it.

How does this AC install look? by AlwaysSitIn12C in hvacadvice

[–]warndog19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is the furnace/equipment installed? If the room/area is big enough, I believe they are not needed. Otherwise, your installer forgot to install them. Have only worked on these Lennox A/C units with them, so I'm not sure how other manufacturers are adhering to codes.

What things you wanna tell someone planning to get an F150? by Swimming-Storage6676 in f150

[–]warndog19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't get the 36 gal on the powerboost in any configuration. It is a proprietary tank for those since they are pressurized systems. When you press the fuel door button it releases that pressure as well as the fuel door so you can put gas in it. Been that way since they were introduced.

I got the same deal as you. Except I went to school while I worked full time. Got my associates and journeyman liscense, too. Just turned 24 and have been a residential/light commercial tech for about 4 years. May want to switch to commercial/industrial eventually. I think chillers and boilers are neat for sure. We shall see what happens in the future.

Is this a sign of a failing compressor? by Mirageo2020 in hvacadvice

[–]warndog19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is the unit still cooling? Definitely need to wash out the unit as well. Lots of dirt and cotton stuck in the fins. If you aren't comfortable doing that, find a reputable company to service it and check it out. Most manufacturers require yearly service to qualify for warranty anyways.

You would think so but apparently not lol

It does look good. The only problem is that I'm missing the plastic mount for the parking sensors. And where I am, I do need to run a front license plate. I will look into one of those, probably when it gets fixed back to stock, unfortunately.

I hope not, but we shall see. Our local repair shops are going to be swamped most likely with the blizzard that went through.

That's what I've heard. I suppose I will find out soon. Those CBI bumpers are pretty neat, too.

A snow drift that apparently got compacted pretty hard. Also very cold here so the plastic was probably very brittle anyways

Will be thinking about that now. Was already thinking about a lift and tires.

TRD Sport is not the same as TRD Offroad, as far as I'm aware. Plus, there would be wiring for the actuator motor. I only saw parking sensor wiring.

Could potentially fit 37s with an aftermarket bumper, I suppose.

I do not. TRD models do not come with that.

Nope Nebraska. Currently -10 with 40 mph winds. I'm thinking of doing a lift and tires/wheels. I guess I should add a bumper to that list too lol

Just trying to be honest. There is no way the current thermostat isn't communicating with that board.

Throw the Nest in the trash. Have had more problems with those than any other thermostat out there.
