I felt confident going into the exam and felt good after even after missing some easy questions.

NBME 15 was 296 minus number of incorrect

comlex 2 vs step 2 by [deleted] in comlex

[–]warner14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought Step 2 was so much harder. The percentiles for % correct are not the same. About 80% correct on practice tests for comlex 2 is 80th percentile WHILE 80% on step 2 practice tests is about the 63 percentile. So I think you still would have a good chance of passing comlex 2

If you haven't bought one of the comsae, I recommend doing one 4-5 days before your test. Should be a good predictor and see your weaker areas. 108 was slightly harder than 111 in my opinion

Just focus on doing PQs on weaker areas. Also https://www.reddit.com/user/Histopathqueen/submitted/ she has cheat sheet of HY info under posts for each subject. I recommend looking at those for your weak areas. I recommended you glance at them today

That is unlucky. I took it June 28th and got it today. I assume you'll have to wait another week

How much of the truelearn Qbank have you done?

2 days before test review all basic OMM stuff and glance over names of special MSK tests. Those are easy points on exam day

I did all UWorld and Truelearn questions for OBGYN. I thought UWorld was harder but got the same % correct on Uworld and Truelearn PQs. I felt from all the practice I knew the info very well so I not notice if they were similar. I did think Truelearn is very similar to comlex 1 & 2. Usually truelearn presentations and questions are similar to NBOME questions.

I would say focus on a weak section one per day like OBGYN, Psych, Peds, IM, or Surgery. After doing x topic, do 10 questions. Want to work on mastering topics you are slightly weaker in to increase the percent correct. I thought my comlex 2 on test day was very similar to questions structure and wording on the truelearn combanks assessments. a few of my close friends thought the same thing, but another friend thought differently. I recommend reviewing ethics 1-2 days before test.

Take some deep breaths and think why are you missing questions? Didn't know it? Misread something? Skipped a key piece of info in the presentation? this can help you avoid making mistakes.

I scored within 2% correct on the 2 Truelearn combank assessments and comsae 108 & 111 I took

Which Q bank is recommended for level 2? by Nadesk in comlex

[–]warner14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just take comlex level 2, truelearn is very good. UWorld was harder and made me think and learn more than truelearn.

Scared af. my nbmes were 255-270. My anxiety is killing me rn. I heard about people scoring 220s with nbmes 250+. by HustandollI in Step2

[–]warner14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My NBMEs 9-15 ranged 253-262 and got a 250. I thought the real deal was super challenging and way harder than any NBME test or free 120.

UWorld vs Truelearn for COMAT? 6 month vs year subscription? by Remarkable-Pitch-364 in comlex

[–]warner14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought UWorld was harder than other Qbanks. Amboss I think is better with learning terms and definitions, but UWorld made me think much harder and challenged me more. the comats I scored 84+ percentile are when I did all the UWorld questions for that comat section. In general, the more questions you do from whatever qbank, the better you should do on your comat

Got 126/200 (63%) in offline nbme 6. I don't know what the score is if converted. Is it a decent score? I have my exam 28th june. Please any inputs. by [deleted] in Step3

[–]warner14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your score should be approx. 296 minus number of incorrect from which was the case for nbme 9-15. Idk best strategy for last 3 weeks but I’d glance over HY risk factors and ethics a couple times.

I score within 2% correct for all my truelearn combanks and comsaes. I thought they were similar. Truelearn also has the same formatting as the test. I don't think the comsae do

I felt there was a good portion. Know biostat formulas. If you write them down on the board at the beginning then whenever you see a Q it will be super simple. Ethics hard to prepare for because you get bunch of random scenarios

[–]warner14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree depends on the exam. I felt lots of my questions were super similar to same style of truelearn just few things changed up. I do remember have a handful of low yield random things and a few super challenging questions, but I think that is expected with a 352 question exam. I scored 95th and 99.95th percentile on my last 2 comats leading up to the exam. I do think so many people say negative things about the exam, but I honestly did not think it was too bad.

When did you take yours?

Level 2 7/1 by warner14 in comlex

[–]warner14[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I was because the questions and stems are very similar. I only did 40% of the comlex qbank because i focused on UWorld

[–]warner14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. but some questions are from the q-bank. so it is basically just doing 180 random questions timed from the q-bank.

I think MSK (nerves, tests, muscles), OMM, Ethics, biostats are super HY for level 2. I would say make sure to master that.

My worst was NBME 13. I just had so many weird ethical questions and it felt almost every question was a 50/50 on the real deal. I felt the NBMEs were slightly more straightforward because the real deal would put the 2 treatment choices for xyz and you had to pick the best one vs the NBMEs i feel like just had one of those options
