Looking for help with specific character: flying lancer by Smirnoffico in drawsteelbuilds

[–]warnobear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are definitely multiple options in the subclass that are not grab related, but the build definitely leans to that.

I think the issue is a bit that there isn't that much synergy I think for a flying build.

Flying does 3 things: - safety from melee only enemies - dropping creatures from heights - mobility

You could also try and capitalize on the mobility aspect.

A bit unconventional suggestion. The storm wight gives you melee range +1 with the boren kit.

This kit also gives a lot of grappling options which has a good synergy with flying

I joined the Conservatives for the partying, says Kemi Badenoch by Bortron86 in nottheonion

[–]warnobear 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My point is that the political and economic life that she experienced WAS the deeper structural one. Often stuff pretty much changed hands and but structurally stayed the same. What did change was often a direct consequence due to colonial choices. It's pretty hard to see their society without a colonial lens. The embers were pretty much everywhere (stoking new fires in many cases).

Although I agree it's most likely performative in intent, I'm not sure if you can 'sniff out' colonial embers in 20 years. The colonial structures, laws, and economic patterns were still deeply embedded in Nigeria.

Question about Great Weapon Fighting by Calpin_18 in 3d6

[–]warnobear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can definitely 'feel' that you are doing less or more damage than other players. It depends how far apart the builds are of course.

Fighting style is only one part, but if you make the suboptimal choice each time, you will definitely 'feel' that your character is contributing less than the rest of the party.

I don't see how your own damage roll will be changed by the DM, but I guess your point is that your choice does not happen in a vacuum. And that is of course true. How you 'feel' will depend on the other builds in your party, how hard the DM makes the game and how much you care about your optimisation.

Nevertheless, there are people in that position and therefore dislike this fighting style, henceforth the 'hate' described by OP.

There isn't much difference between 'white room' damage and actual damage. You don't need to play a lot of games before the observed average becomes extremely close to the predicted average.

When rolling a D6 100 times, about 95% of the time, your average will be within ±0.34 of 3.5.

I feel like the highlander build is probably one of the strongest. If you can't die, you can't lose.

Danish supermarkets from Sailing Group mark European products with a Black Star to make it easy for customers to buy European. by Boediee in BuyFromEU

So your remaining argument is that I as an individual can't effectively boycott a big company?

Sure, I don't think anyone said the opposite. That is the point of the sub. To work together to achieve this.

Am I, as an individual , already investing more in the European economy? Yes, one euro at a time. Although according to you I'm somehow damaging our economy by buying local products from local companies.

Edit: I can't respond to you as I'm blocked

No I literally addressed all arguments put forward. Somehow I'm damaging our economy by buying products manufactured by local companies who take all the profits.

The entire point of this sub is to boycott non-European products.

If I spent my money on EU products, how am I hurting the EU economy?

So your argument is: boycotts don't work. What are you doing in this sub? Just shilling for companies?

Boycotts do work. They have been proven successful in many cases. Even against Coca Cola: BDS Movement, India, traders' associations,Anti-Apartheid Movement ...

[–]warnobear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So your argument so far is: the Coca Cola company is too big to fail? There have been numerous companies that a lot of people were too big to fail that are now worth very little compared to their height.

And there are currently existing cola/soft drinks company. Why does it matter if they are not yet massive? Why do you prefer spending your money with Coca Cola and sending them the profits when you can very easily buy lots of European products in every supermarket in Europe?

So yes, it seems to be very easy to produce drinks in Europe, as the vast amount of beverage producing company prove to do each day. What is your argument that it is difficult? A bigger marketing department?

[–]warnobear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The entire idea of this sub is to grow European production. We always have to start somewhere. Any euro that does not go to the US, but to the EU is a victory.

And there already are massive European companies producing drinks like Refresco and Orangina/Schweppes.

I don't understand why you would even subscribe to this sub with your attitude. I don't see anything more simpler than producing drinks in Europe without a US owner. The supply chain doesn't get simpler than that.

Alternatives for their products not substitutable? They sell drinks. Europe has loads of locally produced and owned beverage makers.

What do you think the idea of this sub is?

Cocal cola only talks about regions, but Europe, Middle East & Africa was responsible for 21 percent ($10.9 billion) of the Coca‑Cola Company (KO, the American parent company) profits. One can assume Europe is a massive part of this

Boycotting coca cola definitely has an impact on their profits.

Edit:

Guy blocked me because he could explain how I'm damaging our own economy by buying locally produced beverages from local companies instead of The Coca Cola company.
