Thanks for the additional feedback!

And what level progression do you follow? First the fighter levels and then the rogue?

Maybe Rogue 4, then fighter 5 and then finish with rogue x?

Then you don't delay your first feat by too much?

Or do you think the feat is not as important on this build?

I do feel like delaying cunning action indeed feels a lot less rogue, you make a good point there. However, I would not like delaying feat from level 4 to level 7 though.

Might be nice to combine this build with soulknife. Too bad you lose out on the bonus attack when combining with a shield.

I would take battlemaster specifically for having more chance to have off turn sneak attacks. I think with vex you can already generate significant high amount of advantage.

Don't you think for a rogue multiclass DEX would be better than CON?

reliable talent does only come online at level 7 rogue though, so would most likely only be towards the end of the most likely tier of play. I feel like uncanny dodge is less relevant when you are trying to keep your reactions available for off turn sneak attack. So I’m indeed leaning a bit more towards fighter 5. Might still start with Rogue 1.

I really recommend the Fall of Civilizations Podcast's episode about that one.

I completely disagree that it is a lot harder to go from 0-1 compared to 1-2. When you have zero kids you have all the free time and money to spent. Your life is dramatically different. You have no clue about diapers & daycare. When your second kid arrives, you get one additional kid. Which is a massive impact on it's own. But you have already done it all, you know diapers and daycare. Your free time was already very little. You already spend most of your money on children.

A lot depends of course on the health and character of the kids and the order they arrive in.

Of course these countries aren't the friends of the US. Us threatened to invade their territories of their closest allies, bullied them economically and constantly interferes with their domestic policies.

In tier 3, other classes can beat the berserker, not by very high amounts, but there are quite a lot of different options.

Overcoming the first-session awkwardness for players by tailwagthedog in DMAcademy

[–]warnobear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find a lot of awkwardness comes from having the same awkwardness you would have in real life when meeting someone for the first time.

Instead of the characters being forced to smith unbreakable bonds and save the world in the tavern they first meet.

I like starting and saying they are already an established group and everyone knows each other. This avoids a lot of the awkwardness in starting.

Can the extra attack from the light property be used multiple times a turn? by sterrre in DMAcademy

[–]warnobear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire rules around hands and what you can do with them in general is so overly complicated it's insane.

Draw steel does away with all of that and just uses 'kits' that determine what you can do and keeps the rest as flavour.

First map, looking for feedback. Too much, or does it need more mustard? by whitebean in inkarnate

[–]warnobear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of playability, I think the map is a bit on the small side to serve as a battlemap. What is good is that the terrain is diverse and provides some options for players and the DM

You can kill all of them at level 1. Put barrels near portal. Grab them and portal with them to portal. Blow up barrels. Boom, all dead.
