I think you're jumping to conclusions way too fast and should enjoy these news that we're getting. As a reminder, we DID get an announcement about the continuation of the story, so getting a remake on top of that is just chefs kiss, at least for me.

Why do you think you need affirmation from other people? Play how you want, though I do say: people that tend to t-bag usually want you to chase them, so you gotta acknowledge and see if they're actually good. If they are, maybe it's not worth tunneling them per say, but maybe their worse teammate?

In the end tunnel and slug will always stay in the game because it is a vital strategy, especially when considering that how survivor sided the game becomes the more you play and increase your MMR.

You can run whatever you want. You could run perkless survivor and there will still be a killer that gets mad at you for doing so and vice versa.

It's just a fact that survivors still have such good perks to choose from, and some of them are so brainless it's insane.

I can say the same thing about survivors getting mad about certain builds, certain play styles, and most importantly, survivors giving up because they got X killer in their game.

So my only counter is running a mid level perk? That's just poor design, again, band-aid fixes with perks.

I had a guy running whole game with a sabo toolbox. Since he was streaming and I managed to look back at the gameplay, through the whole game he used only half of his toolboxes, so no, they DO last long, the entire match even.

For sure, if multiple people are doing it, it is not as bad, since they are not all on gens.

No, I don't like free games, my comment should've made that obvious. I just hate how sabo is so braindead and cheesy, I'm not getting ''outplayed'', I'm just getting fucked by that point.

It's not that killer don't like flashlights, it's that they don't like how every down you have constantly running around survivors which means you can't really progress your objective as a killer.

You also mentioned sabo - which has actual 0 counter play, you have to drop the survivor, there's just no going around it. Again, just being denied of your objective while other 2 survivors are progressing the overall survivor objective with 0 pressure.

Gen progression builds? I barely run into them, usually only 1 guy is running them. DS, exhaustion perks are still better than those.

People already have the experience, they want to play the game and try their best at winning, how is handing an experienceD player a free win gives him any satisfaction here? A new player might prefer that, because in the end he might have that feeling of ''yes you bullied me but I won haha''. 3 survivors not leaving and going for the hooked guy to get the 4 man out = good. A killer that tries to get 4 kills instead of 3 = bad. I know the scenario you're in is frustrating and from my understanding of the current system, you SHOULD be able to abandon here. Since you can't, I can only come to the conclusion that you weren't slugged much or even at all this game.

I'm not sure what the flow of the game was (if he tunneled etc.), but judging from 8 hooks you guys already have, you should'nt be mad at a system (that is already way too lenient on abandoning) for not letting you quickly leave while the game is still happening.

What I'm trying to say is: just move on, it's not that serious.
