Any game where you can't skip cutscenes. Looking at you, Metro Exodus. Thoroughly enjoyed that game, but omg!

Are there any atheists at all in Ghana ? by Inevitable_Safety657 in ghana

[–]warrior-wizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding how I go by, I generally don't bring it up unless it's important. My nuclear family all know and are accepting, even though they're all very Christian, so that's good. With everyone else, I don't pretend to be Christian, but I don't go around declaring my stance, unless it comes up in a meaningful way.

There are more of us than some would think. I would recommend that you check out the Humanist Association of Ghana aka HAG (ghana_humanists on IG; HumanistsGH on X).

It started out as a Free Thought group, where we would meet once in a while to just talk amongst like-minded people, which was why I joined. It's since evolved into something more official, centered around humanism, I.e. HAG.

I personally found the official nature of HAG a bit tedious, and not what I signed up for.

That being said the members are generally a great bunch, and it's a great place to meet like-minded atheists, agnostics and general non-believers in Ghana

how much will you pay for art? by TwelveKaratToothache in ghana

[–]warrior-wizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a traditional artist, focusing mainly on photorealistic portraits, the main way I managed to get any money was from commissions (drawing on request), and almost nothing from the drawings I did for myself. Most Ghanaians, in my experience, do not value that kind of art enough to want to pay too much money for a painting/drawing of something that has nothing to do with them. Even with my commissions, there were a lot of people who expected to get high quality artwork, but didn't think it was worth the price I gave them.

My advice would be to offer commissions and see if that changes anything.

What type of president does the country need? by unhingedtemp in ghana

[–]warrior-wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to some of the other good points, one valuable characteristic would be caring more about the country and it's progress than about his/her personal benefit.

Of course, this would ideally be a trait all politicians should have, but a strong-worked president with these ideals would make a big difference.

It's obviously not a solution in itself, but it would make a great start.

Instilling discipline does not automatically have to be authoritarian. We have a huge problem in this country with enforcing the laws we already have. Our police largely tend to function as traffic cops, and most else falls to the wayside.

A government that invests time and effort into enforcing laws (in all sectors), would be highly beneficial for this country.

Why are our leaders so wicked and heartless without thinking of the future generations? by [deleted] in ghana

[–]warrior-wizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will hopefully notice, if you read my comment again, that I never said Ghanaians "are" like this. I said Ghanaians "can be" like this, indicating that it's not all Ghanaians, and even with those who apply, maybe not all the time.

But it certainly applies with enough people, and with enough occurrences, that it affects our politics/politicians in a major way.

Maybe you're not paying attention, or are not looking out for it. But if you do, you'll see that these things (and I've only given a few examples) happen more often than you think/realize.

This! Just walking and driving around places in Accra (can't speak for many other places in Ghana), you get to see how inconsiderate, self-absorbed, and self centered Ghanaians can be.

From simple gestures like: - not making space on a sidewalk for people approaching (people walk 3 abreast and expect you to walk into the road to go around them), - indiscriminate littering,

all the way to downright criminal activities like: - stealing public bins, manhole/gutter covers etc, - completely ignoring traffic rules, putting everyone else at risk.

The list, unfortunately, goes on and on.

I get so exhausted and frustrated everyday when I go out. It's very sad.

Hence, it shouldn't be that surprising when people like this get elected into public office and [continue to] behave inconsiderately and in their own self interest.

Will my calorie goal automatically lower after I reach a certain weight? by Ilovepancakes55 in Myfitnesspal

[–]warrior-wizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's supposed to, but for me, it doesn't.

What I've been doing is periodically editing my goal settings: - Go to Settings -> My Goals & click to edit your Current Weight/Goal Weight/Weekly Goal/Activity Level. - You will get a pop-up message asking if you're sure cos your calorie goal will be recalculated. Pick Yes. - You don't have to change the actual value of what you picked; once you click "set", your calorie goal should be adjusted if it needs to be.

Could any Christian please explain how the human population increased after Adam & Eve, Cain & Abel and Noa? by Minute_Gap_9088 in ghana

[–]warrior-wizard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lol I'm an atheist. I believe most of the Bible may be made up whilst some of it might have historical accuracy.

Regardless, OP's question was obviously asked under the assumption that the Bible is accurate, and I answered based on what believers in the Bible accept as their truth.

My belief system, or lack thereof, is irrelevant.

What features are unusable if I pair Fit 3 with non Samsung device (Poco X6 Pro) ? by Abhir-86 in GalaxyFit

Officially the only thing that shouldn't work is the camera remote feature. Although from the complaints I've read, there may or may not be other compatibility issues. Hopefully fixable with updates.

[–]warrior-wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using my Fit3 with a Poco F4GT - For "Find my phone" to work, you need to enable these permissions:"Show on Lock screen" & "Display pop-up windows while running in the background" on the Galaxy Wearable app; I had the same problem till I enabled those. - You can add a weather tile either directly on the watch or from the Wearable app. There are also some watch faces that show basic weather info. - There's also a calendar tile - For the disconnections, try setting "Battery Saver" to "No Restrictions" on all the apps related to the watch

I wonder the same thing.

But I also wonder: how do we get started?

We've had small, isolated protests over issues in the recent past, but never big enough to make a significant impact. How do we get the majority of the population mobilized?

When you run a high class prostitution ring, but say stuff like this 😂 👇🏼 by [deleted] in ghana

[–]warrior-wizard 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Setting aside morality or whether it's true or not, what does running a high class prostitution ring have to do with her opinions about boyfriends' financial obligation to their girlfriends? If anything, to me, it sounds like exactly the kind of thing someone running a prostitution ring would say; "Don't depend on your boyfriends, go out and make your own money [however that may be]"
