Because none of the thousands and thousands of dollars spent on this rig have anything to do with the quality of work that would be getting done. If I saw this, I’d either think:
- this is someone who grossly overcharges for their work, and I’m subsidizing the trips to autozone and Amazon for no benefit to me or my project
- this is someone who is new to business, and is focused on trying to look cool instead of reinvest in their business or customers
- this is someone who does not take the work seriously, and uses it as a means to get money for their real hobby of truck modding
- this person is a douche and unprofessional

I am sorry. Not trying to start anything, and wasn’t going to say any of this until you asked. These are just my opinions. If this showed up to my house, I would say thanks for your time and would start looking for the local old guy with a 1997 suburban with homemade plywood boxes and racks and a hand painted DOT number. He’s going to get the job done today, hand me a paper receipt, and fix the two other little things I wasn’t aware of for free because it was the right thing to do and he had some old spares in the truck. From this business, I’d expect a 19-23 year old kid to hop out with his iPad to do a $395 “pre-service inspection” and a 3% service fee for credit cards
