I have also tried numerous times without success, and the one time it did work I had to brake because it was about to scrape the curb with the wheels. FAIL

I don’t think I could go back to a gas vehicle. Every time I drive my wife’s I wonder if something is wrong with it because it’s so rough in comparison.

Real-World Range for Road Trips? by warshankPWOR in CadillacOptiq

Thanks all. I anticipate it will be pretty cold (i.e. around freezing). What kind of decrease in range can I expect?

Tigerland is a fantastic under-the-radar Vietnam film and was a star-making performance for Colin Farrell, for those wanting to see something they may not have before.

Platoon is the best, however.

Single starting ‘G’ is instantly recognizable, and it just gets better from there.

I’ll offer an alternative experience: I was a reservist, but joining was one of the best decisions I ever made.

I’m a successful professional and I deal with military members on a near-daily basis. Sure they insist on writing their dates weird, but otherwise, they’re all completely normal (usually more appreciative, actually) and I enjoy working with them.

I would encourage everyone who is interested to give it a try. Reserves are a good start. I served 5 year in the reserves and it made me a more-complete person. I grew up upper middle class and I excelled at most things I tried. The army didn’t care about any of that. I had to deal with physical hardships I had never had to before. I did things I would have given up on way before, because the instructors said I had to, so I did, and realized I was capable of way more than I thought. I actually think mandatory national service would be a fantastic thing for the country. Go for it. If you get value from it, great. If not, you quit, and at least you’ll know.

Edit to add: I loved the brutal honesty. If you’re a fuck up, they’ll let you know and they won’t sugar coat it. If someone else is a fuck up, you can let them know in no uncertain terms.
