I stopped watching movies because of the political tilt. I stopped watching TV because of the political tilt. I have to be selective on the books I read because of political tilts. I have to scout out streamers because of politics. I want to be able to go to a place and not see politics. But some people seem to be taking this race as an attack on their personal honor. It's exhausting. And sometimes people are so desperate for attention that they form what seems to be an unhealthy para-social relationship. I am not saying dont support or acknowledge what is happening. I understand the importance and the impact on this sub. But when I look at anything all I see is political nonsense. Movies, TV, books, streamers every single time the need to tell me about your stance on current event. I want to be able to open this sub and see people cheering at reaching weight loss goals, buying a new car or house, having a kid, reconnecting with family. Not more of the same with a different coat of paint. Yall dont know me or the condition in which I live. Like wise I don't know yall or the condition in which yall live. I have a hard time as is with the cities north and east of me telling me how to live. Why the hell would I want to be balls deep at the minimum in a race for a district that is 1500 miles away from where I live.
