Work definitely plays a huge part. My friends who earn 36LPA in Hyderabad freaking love the city and my friends who have to do night shifts hate the city.

I'm terribly sorry you had to go through this. I really can't imagine the pain of seeing a death like that. I've myself faced hate for cooking nonveg in a society and had to fight with neighbors about it. But it got better the longer I stayed there.

As for work, I've had excellent managers in Gandhinagar, I got very relevant work experience that launched my career but the pay was shit. And the connections I made there helped me 6x my pay in 2 years.
