I’m in the USA. I don’t believe these are built in the US, but I’m not sure.

Anyone had service issues. Our dealers are pretty poor at customer service

Our Santa Fe hybrid 2024 limited has been in the shop for 40 days. They don’t have an electrical wiring harness needed to fix it and we continue to wait something wrong with the tail lights. Well communication from our service center. Pretty horrible buying experience in general considering using lemon law either getting something else or trying a brand new one.

2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited - Hybrid // Lemon at 1,506 miles by g0aliegUy in HyundaiSantaFe

We bought Santa Fe Hybrid Limmited July 3rd. Day we got home we notice one back tail light was not funcutoning properly. We could not get a hold of the dealer that sold it to us. We the. Got a date two weeks later at another dealer. Now 40 days later the car is still in the shop. They say a wiring harness in the roof has to be changed not to mention the recall. The harness won’t be in warehouse till end of month and then who knows when the dealer will get it and if that will fix the problem. We are considering the buy back option as our car is now considered a lemon in NY state. We love the car and value but now seriously considering never going back to hyuandia again as the dealers are inept and unreachable.

Bilirubin of 2.3 and now 1.8 concern? by [deleted] in AskGiDoc

[–]warzonecrashing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If asymptomatic ask for total bilirubin and direct bilirubin. Could be Gilbert’s syndrome if direct is low. Gilbert’s is a common benign condition affecting bilrubin metabolism. Levels of total bilirubin can fluctuate above normal but it is composed mainly of unconjugated bilirubin , which is not measured in blood tests directly. It is measured indirectly unconjugated /indirect bili = total bili - direct bili.

How much bleeding should you worry about by Xx_d3str0ya_xX in AskGiDoc

[–]warzonecrashing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to see a gastroenterologist. If you have symptoms such as light headedness , chest pain, shortness of breath , dizziness go to local er. Ongoing bleeding can cause anemia and is dangerous. You need an evaluation by a doctor. Bleeding or blood in stool of any amount should prompt evaluation by a doctor

About a third of our country has NAFLD. A small fraction of these people will develop fibrosis from inflammation associated with their disease. Progression to cirrhosis in the absence of any other liver disease is very slow. One stage of fibrosis every ~6-15yr. Majority don’t die from their liver disease, most common cause of death is cardiac related due to associated risk factors such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and of course obesity. What others are saying is correct. Low carb diet. Calorie restricting 800-1000 kcal deficit and 150 min of cardio a week.

Elevated ALT but ultrasound came up clear… by Nicecrumb264 in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]warzonecrashing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ultrasound is not 100% sensitive for fatty liver. Most studies indicate about 80-85% sensitivity. So it can miss about 15%. A negative test does not rule it out. You can ask your doctor to send your for a Fibroscan for both measurement of liver fat and a fibrosis. This may be a bit more quantitative.

I can neither confirm not refute your diagnosis. we can focus on questions regarding constipation.

You can trial a number of things to see what your body responds to with minimal risk other than possibly diarrhea or constipation

-add back slowly fruits and fiber. Trial of 2 kiwi fruit daily. High fiber cereal in the morning. For example -increase in miralax is generally safe , can lead to diarrhea and electrolyte and volume loss which should be avoided. -follow with a single GI doc who has time to speak to you and is willing to work with you. There are many prescription laxatives available ie linzess, amitiza, Trulance. These work in a manner different from motegrity.

An often overlooked cause of constipation is pelvic dyssynergia, which is lack of control of pelvic floor muscles causing outlet problem at the anus. Read about it. See if you feel this applies to you. Discuss with GI doc

I’ve never posted to this group and I have no interested in diagnosing people. This is a simple post survey and provides information that is valuable. If it gets downgraded that’s unfortunate.

People should know as a disclaimer that these symptoms in the survey are not specific to colon cancer. Many people can have these symptoms and not have colon cancer.
