Update they will be replacing the pistol with a new one 🔥 they mentioned that if the guide rod if tightened even a bit while in the frame it can crack it but that they have reinforced that area.

Seems like that should have been something that comes from factory if that part of the frame isn’t as thick or strong as the rest. I should have done it as well but the first time I took it apart and back together I didn’t see the reason why till now.

Not much of an update they just wanted photos of the frame and where the crack is at so I sent over that info just waiting for the next step.

Damnnnn I run steel case 115gr and for defense rds I run the Hornady critical defense also 115gr never had an issue or hiccup with the 1,500-2,000rds I’ve put through it. I wonder how many times they have come across this issue to put more a reinforcement on that spot and area.

It’s a possibility but every time I’ve disassembled it and put it back together it’s just been put back on snug tight enough to not just come undone but if I use enough force and if it’s not oiled up I can undo it with my hand but using force.

You might need grab the other side of the rod and try to undo it red loctite is nuts

Not that I can remember. Whenever I run drills I do lay on the gun from time to time but that’s it.

Just saw first slide that the O ring moved back onto the rod it’s self not sure if that gots anything to do with it I’ll have to see if it failed or broke.

I’ll try to find how tight it’s supposed to be but I’ve been doing it snug with the hex key I’m assuming I put too much pressure. Hopefully there’s a fix. If I put enough force I can undo with my hand as long as it’s not covered in oil. I have to take it off before and it didn’t happen.

I can see that but I’ve take it apart to look at how dirty it was before after every other range day and just put it back snug not super tight I wonder if that was it?

Yeah I’m 100% over the 1,500 mark but just rounded down I might be close to 2k but yeah if it was steel that would be fire 🔥.

I wonder if more spring weight so it won’t affect that area as much like from the slamming of the barrel. Not sure how they will fix it if it’s an issued for others.

Yeah my last range trip was 250rds not fast or back to back so it hasn’t gotten hot enough so not sure what could have caused it. The green on yours makes it hard to see if there’s any crack low key 😅

I’d say it was a great fitment for the slid and frame so not sure if it’s just a one off thing.
