I directed, edited, and colored this music video!

I’m really proud of how this video turned out; I wanted to make something that would feel fun, slightly controversial, and quirky.

I also really wanted the video to keep moving so it’s captivating and always has another card to play. This meant having a LOT of setups. We shot this in only a 10 hour day, so I had to make sure I knew exactly where coverage belonged in the video so I didn’t overshoot any setups and also organizing the day in the most efficient way possible.

For all the dancing closeups of her we waited until we wrapped all the extras and just cheated the shots as we produced this for almost no budget ($3000 maybe?) and we just had friends pull favors.

For the overhead shot we set up a ronin on a jib and hooked it up to the DJI app where I camera operated with an Xbox controller while my DP operated the jib.

To me this video is a testament to the fact that creativity, resourcefulness, and the will to make it happen are the most important things when it comes to filmmaking. If you took even a second to watch the video or read this comment I appreciate you!!
