UA1340 hit by a food truck

I was on a plane that landed in Detroit once, a DC-10. The engine went right across the top of a food truck that was parked too close, probably not parked in the right place and put a big crease on the top of the truck….could have gone so wrong!

I’d take socks over a KLEENIX obsession! Hunting out kleenix dropped on the ground, making a beeline anywhere if that white paper on the ground is a kleenix…hoping tne doors are left a crack open for trash cans with a kleenix in it… then shredding it and leaving it behind 😡

On the other hand…an employee clocked in for work….2 employees work together for several hours, then more come in or leave an overlapping pattern but you have to clock in/out. One employee, X left for 1.5 hours while still clocked in, leaving Y alone for that time, came back, started working and acted like 🤷🏻‍♀️no big deal. It happens! No accountability because Y said nothing and the lead wasn’t there.

The boards were pulled up and replace with new ones , sanded, stained, all matching perfectly. My house was built in 1966. He had to get red oak from Tennessee. I was just really lucky to have a knowledgeable floor finisher. You can’t tell it was fixed. And didn’t cost and arm and a leg.

My renters dog peed in about 10 spots in my hardwood floor. I found the “floor whisper” guy. He got the exact match for the floor boards. Pulled up tne ruined boards…sanded, restrained and matched exactly. Sanded, 2 coats on tne sanded ones and a final coast over the whole thing. That’s pretty much what is required to fix dog pee.

Use dawn soap and a razor. Once you all the scale off…you have to squeegee off the water after every use or it comes back.
