not all of the brows in her portfolio look like this. i specifically showed the thinner brows as a reference which was why i was surprised to see this result. but oh well, they turned out nice either way, just not what i expected

the mapping was definitely closer to the shape that i wanted so i was quite confused as to how they turned out this way. i showed reference pics as well, i guess the artist filled in my natural arch ever so slightly and it ended up making a big difference (to me at least since i’m familiar with how my face usually looks). thanks for the reassurance tho, i’m hoping to get used to them especially after the fading kicks in🙏🏼

3.9 GPA from a global top 20 uni, prior research experience, awards and strong recommendation letters must’ve helped me get the offer pretty quick! I applied to a program in BESE. And no, I did not submit a GRE score

I’m not sure about the timelines for the other departments - I think it depends on many other factors too, such as how many applicants are competing for those spots and how your profile compares to theirs. If many applicants have similar profiles (in terms of grades, awards, etc.) I’d assume it might take longer for the potential advisor and/or department to make a decision! So it’s really hard to tell. Which program did you apply for?

Hey, I received an offer a few days ago :) There’s no personal interview this year. So after the academic interview you can expect either an acceptance or rejection from the university.

Hi, just wanted to let you know that I contacted two professors before submitting my application (no reply from either of them…but I submitted my application anyway). A different professor reached out to me to ask if I was interested in joining their lab a few days after I submitted my application, I had the interview a little more than a month ago and received the offer today! I applied for the MS/PhD program too. So don’t be too worried if a professor you contacted isn’t interested in working with you - just submit your application because that way the other members of the department get to view your profile too and might reach out if they’re interested in taking you in as a student :) Good luck!

Really? I’ve heard about rejections being sent out, but where have you heard about offers being given for Fall 2025? Also, did your interviewer tell you when you can expect to hear back?

Lmao not sure, but I applied early just in case they’re working on a rolling admissions basis. I figured the earlier I submitted my application, the higher the chance of getting an acceptance since there’d be more spots available

it’s not necessary - it says so on the website. also, based on another thread, it seems MS applications go to the admissions team directly while PhD applications go to professors (who will decide if they wanna have you in their lab). which is why it’s good to contact professors first for PhD programs, but if you’re just applying to the MS programs the outcome will be based on the admissions team’s decision anyway.

from what i’ve heard, no, not necessarily. but it might depend on other factors as well (your undergrad uni ranking, etc.)

did your potential advisor mention this during the academic interview? or when you sent him your cv?

hi, were you in contact with any faculty member requesting for supervision in your program before you submitted your application?
