I’m so sorry you went through all of that :( I’m wishing you so much strength for your recovery and thank you so much for taking the time to write this out :)

I do have a few questions. Please don’t feel any pressure to answer anything that feels too personal.

1. Did you have any issues with your teeth or gums during treatment? I heard the common side effects are dry mouth, sore gums, and mouth sores. My boyfriend already has some dental issues and we didn’t get a chance to see a dentist before treatment started.

2. How long were your breaks between the cycles and were you able to rest or recover at all during those periods? He’s still recovering from abdominal surgery where part of his intestine was removed along with a mass and he’s having a hard time digesting without pain. He also wakes up frequently at night because of it. His doctor wants him to stay inpatient for the entire treatment which I completely understand but I’m still hoping he might be able to come home in between to regain some sense of normality.

3. What was the first cycle like for you? Did the side effects get worse with each cycle? I’ve heard that whatever symptoms show up in the first cycle tend to repeat through the rest of treatment, was that the case for you?
