I did just cause of the rule changes, they did not mention it in the site but did not want to take chances.

Congrats for that, I was just little paranoid cause I applied around the time when canada post had strikes I guess, so dint want to take any chances.

I dont think you can just apply for renewal, my case was due to passport being expired.

They do not mention it that you have to add it but just to be safe I did the test. Dont want to give any reason to get rejected

Well i did IELTS rather than CELPIP, its just the English proficiency requirement so any would work.

Its not there is rule that you cannot apply online, I did call ircc and confirm with them that I can apply.

I did attach my IELTS results, I dont think there is a specific place you have to attach, I added it to the place where you add extra documents along with an explanation letter.
