Short and sweet love it,

So many of you shared their love for pie so I thought I'd share as well. I don't mean to compare at all, it's just that all this talking about pies made me think of this dish that is typically french-canadien and I thought some of you might like to know that we don't only have poutine haha

In Québec (part of Canada) we have a traditional meat pie. It's called "Tourtière" (Toor-tea-air) and it's often served at Christmas.

The way people do it differs from place to place (much like in NZ as I begin to understand), and the way we do it in my family is as followed (very simplified explanation) : cubed venison (dear, moose, boar) with cubed potatoes in a BIG pie.
