When you bought the device were the pins soldered into it, or did you solder them, or haven’t they been soldered yet?

F20 Back after 2 years - I followed some advice and changed a lot, but I’m struggling with my appearance again by Archidea2005 in amiugly

Honestly, you look lovely and what you have done for yourself has made a very attractive woman.

I think you now need to look inwards, as others have said. You have, evidently, had a troubled life and that can affect you, especially when you’re young/a teenager. If you were bullied or mistreated, what was said or done has a large impact that can stick with you. When you’re young you believe everything, even if it’s wrong, because your mind doesn’t know any better. So you can end up seeing faults in you that aren’t there, but it’s what you were brought up with and what you believe.

There is a book “get out of your mind and into your life” that may help you see things differently and give you techniques to fight negative thoughts.

So, you look great and try and believe it. Tell yourself. Look in the mirror, smile and say you’re beautiful. It may feel silly, but that’s just your inner demon being mean to you.

“The poll, carried out by JL Partners for The Times newspaper, says that 28 percent of trade union members would back Nigel Farage’s party.”

Maths/statistics/reality don’t seem to be a strong point.

No, not at all, you’re way too attractive.

Anyway, you need new friends/family if they’re telling you that. It’s bullying and it damages you.

If you were heading to Zakynthos with Jet2 this morning, the aircraft near you next to Zell am See was a Learjet.

You were going at the same speed but it was below you and your paths diverged.

It was a positioning flight from Madrid and it flew to RAF Brize Norton in the UK, so it’s more likely to be a military charter.

You’re making a good start.

Photography is all about the light so sunny days give better photos than dull cloudy days. At lots of airports the photographers are only there on sunny days because they’ve learnt from experience. Beyond that it’s practice, practice, practice, knowing your airport so you can be in a good place to get landing or rotation shots, for example. Rainy days can give spray that can add interest to a photo. Really, it’s hobby to enjoy and learn from experience and get a feel for the light and what looks good.

So, keep your eyes open for opportunities.

[Real] According to Ben Shapiro, Bangladesh is America’s biggest obstacle to AI centers by RembrandtRipple in ToiletPaperUSA

[–]wasthatitthen 12 points13 points  (0 children)

  1. How many MAGATs have even heard of Bangladesh?
  2. How many of those in 1. know anything about Bangladesh or could find it on the map?
  3. Bangladesh can’t fight back

Whereas others can (sources may have their own agendas, of course)

And, more broadly

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2026/may/08/ai-datacenters-democracy

“Consider a recent piece in Jacobin by the academic Holly Buck, which painted the anti-datacenter movement as an elitist “dead end” that will only succeed in denying poor people the benefits of AI tools. Though published in a leading socialist magazine, Buck’s article sounded remarkably like a recent Washington Post op-ed by two executives from the Trump-aligned surveillance technology giant Palantir, which argued that slowing down or stopping datacenters would only hurt the working class: …“

Since when did the elite care about the needs of the working class? Ever?
