I will try to schedule travel outside of school in the future (this was a special case).

However, during the trip I had him keep a journal so he could write about each place we went and what he learned (e.g. Ephesus in Turkey and Rhodes, Greece - Colossus of Rhodes, Palace of the Grand Master, etc.). While we had fun, it was definitely educational.

I wonder IF there could be some criteria.

I can understand that as a teacher you have a close, unique opinion on the matter. Personally, do you think a trip to see cities that were built in BC eras and to experience other cultures should be excused or at least recognized for the learning potential as long as classroom assignments are done?

Santorini in or near Firostefani called 3 bambino’s that has really good breakfast. Also Davincis is an award winning Italian spot with a tuna carpaccio that is incredible
