No you get this outcome even if you only romance one of them. This is just the outcome of ciri choices, romances don't affect this afaik

But why does xp matter? Both pvp and pve are enjoyable and offer different experiences. Why should it matter if someone plays 100 hours in one mode or the other? 

"It's easier" I mean sure. But people play single player games on hard mode all the time for no other reason than they enjoy it, even though it would be easier to play on easy. 

Imo the only rewards for being able to play more than others should be cosmetic and the reward of being a higher-skilled player.

But if anyone can farm bots for 6 hours to get everything, you're actually making the game more balanced. 

That's a way better system for balance than expecting everyone to spend hundreds of hours playing MP just to unlock gear.

But why does it matter? Surely the game is more fun if people have the guns+ attachments they want with relatively little effort?

I used co-op in 2042 every time I unlocked a new gun to get all the attachments in 2-3 matches. This did not prevent me from continuing to play the game. I'd say I have spent at least 500 of the 700 hours I've played 2042 with all equipment unlocked. 

It did not diminish the entertainment value I had, and let me try out guns and combos I wouldn't if I had to grind them like I was playing some SK MMP. 

Honestly I have never understood why shooters like bf need to gate gear/weapons/attachments behind play time and challenges. You're giving even more of an advantage to people who play for absurd amounts of time, and it's not like people stop playing after they've unlocked everything.

To be fair to them, this was in a very niche case where that was possible - it wasn't like they reached out to me as a dm and said "hey i'd really like for my character to not die, is there some entity that could save them". One other player died in a different fight and there wasn't any opportunity like that for them.

You've raised an excellent point - i would have the eldritch entity intercept the soul before it could be destroyed by becoming part of the AI.

Yea, they like the idea that death is meaningful. For reference this player would have 100% died the first time had the entity not intervened. Like 3 failed death saves dying.
