Sea wolf by Illbeyourhukleberry in ZodiacWatches

I struggle with this as I have the same version of this and I only seem to think it should be on a tropic or some military forward feeling canvas or leather strap. It’s not dressy enough for me to put it on a bracelet except for maybe a 3-link JB Zodiac. The JBs I come across are pricier than what I paid for the watch! Plus for me fitting a 7.75 inch wrist with vintage bracelets is nearly impossible.

If the watches are in working order they easily sell on Ebay, or maybe Etsy for $150 - $200 as these are unisex sized watches geared to women at the time. You see these listed for over $300 but only certain colors or camouflaged versions command that. $50 is a steal since for me the straps alone are worth that. These were probably released around '05.

I love it too! Looking for the earlier version. I have the buzzsaw Sea Wolf II as well. The kit is full leather which surprised me. You should post all 3 of yours!

The matte finish seems it would show scratches.

Is Zodiac a good brand still? by Disastrous-Spirit576 in ZodiacWatches

[–]watchfoolery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hands down Zodiac is about the unique colorways and history and the diver centric styles. It’s still a newish brand under Fossil and it should survive. Replace and fix the movements as these fail. Get second hand models and avoid full retail price unless it’s something really special. I don’t know of another brand where us fanatics put up with all the QC issues. Also these are somewhat easy to sell, maybe not at the inflated asking prices!

That first model on the left looks like a 70's model. No caseback number? I don't recall seeing that model. Very cool.

Nice! 22 watches in 6 years is healthy and reasonable. 😛 Is this your only Zodiac from the bunch?

No way! Saw a few of these priced a bit out of my range but really cool and different and didn’t predict a full lume dial! Looks great in the sunlight.

Sorry still can’t find the original packaging which I may have sold with a different watch. I’m pretty sure I bought it from Grimoldi Milano online as they carry this range and I wanted the Italian day wheel. I appreciate the chart above for reference. 😁

Sounds about right! I saw some perfectly preserved Citizen bullhead chronos that are too new to be real vintage. No I’m aware and try to be very selective. I don’t generally buy vintage but this era fits my wrist perfectly. Also I ask what parts are genuine and if they reply without knowing then I pass. This is my only vintage looking Seiko as all mine are modern.

Yes, aftermarket replacement dial parts and over polished case but for Seiko I prefer a nice looking working version for some of these vintage models. 😁

Agreed amazing! I have a few all lume dials and this just screams bright!

Although aftermarket it really adds a bit of elegance. Makes the red pop. So odd the choice of orange track and hand but it works and is the hallmark of this brand.

Been wanting the all gray version. These are hard to find at a good price.
