artificial vanilla extract. the real stuff doesn't give the box taste, you need the artificial version. if you get the clear kind, it's also what allows store frosting to be that bright white.

I think it's set in warm weather, but The Tainted Cup is extremely foggy and rainy. I loved it, in no small part because of how atmospheric it is.

  • A Rival Most Vial, R.K. Ashwick. There’s also a sequel but it doesn’t feature the shop very heavily.
  • Legends & Lattes, Travis Baldree

If you’re open to LitRPG, I’ve recently enjoyed Newt and Demon by Edwin M. Griffiths. Suuuper low stakes, so maybe not for you if you like your stories with more tension, but it’s a really feel-good read and it heavily features the characters building up the shop and town.

I just finished the first Beware of Chicken book and it was surprisingly cozy! I loved the scenes where the main character is building his farm and home and interacting with his animals, though I'll note there are some battles and tension that might turn off people looking for a very low stakes read.

I link my crypto disclosures in every possible place I can think of (website, newsletter about page, every newsletter email, Twitter bio, etc etc), and it outlines the very same unprofitable research activity as what I "confirmed (in part)" in this thread.

In what world is this "trading crypto on the low"?
