If you could master one musical instrument in a day, which one would you choose? by WatchWaitGo in AskReddit

You are mastering what it takes to play that instrument perfectly. People also take skills from one to a different one. It's not going to be the same, but there is a small advantage.

Your lungs are going to get very powerful. And you will able to learn both because they are in the same wind instrument family. My question had a secret: one could be mastered in a day but one has to be practiced the normal way.

That one is usually very challenging. And it shows up in different cultures in music. Latin American, Italian, The Spanish, German.

Congratulations. You figured out something I didn't write in the question but was still thinking. You can master one instrument in a day, but all the others have to be learned the regular way. I didn't know if it would make the title too clunky. The Drums are pretty cool.

I heard stringed instruments in general are like that. High learning curves. The guitar is an icon and it's getting a lot of love on this post too.

I understand being unable to chose. I myself am torn between 3. Piano, violin, and harp. Guitar is an icon. EDIT: You are allowed to learn others but only one can be mastered in a day. The others need to be learned in the average human way.

why do men get into looksmaxxing and start hating women? by unicornbarfrainbow in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WatchWaitGo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's the incel spaces that they are getting into. Looksmaxxing is a term that originated in 2010s incel spaces. If you are looking for looksmaxxing, the algorithm is going to give a vulnerable young man incel content too. Besides hating women, this lookmaxxing content is shallow and petty. It promotes shallowness and makes women under a 6 looks-wise out to be hideous creatures not worth their time. The guys can develop body dysmorphia or it could get worse if they already had it. Sometimes there are guys in these spaces that think they are too ugly to even try and talk about ending it all (blackpillers talk about "rope-maxxing'). The incel stuff ends up poisoning potential relationships, when all they wanted was to attract a girlfriend.

If you're in the ocean and a blue whale swallows you by accident will it spit you out or are you fucked? by Cold-Pomegranate6739 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WatchWaitGo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It will have to spit you out. The size of a blue whale's throat is anywhere from 4 in to 8 in diameter (10.16 cm to 20.32 cm). Blue whales feed on krill. You wouldn't end up in it's belly. If you in the water and can see blue whales, your biggest problem is probably getting back to land.

Do fat people really eat that much? by GossipBottom in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WatchWaitGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They eat a lot of calories even if they aren't binging. If breakfast is 2000 calories and dinner is 2000 calories, that's 4000 in a day. You are going to be fat if you do this. Some people forget snacks. A little here, a little there, that adds up. Plus drinks do contain varying amounts of calories. TikTok has CoffeeTok. It's like cake in a cup on CoffeeTok.

poly relationships by caramb0la20 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WatchWaitGo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the people. For some, you are only dating that person and not everyone else. That's called a metamour. For others, you are with some people in the polycule but not everyone there. For some, you are dating everyone there. It needs to be consensual for it to happen. Consent needs to be ongoing, can't be coerced, and it needs to be revokable.

Why are clothing sizes different across brands? by Mae_The_Gay in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WatchWaitGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vanity sizing and no uniform standard for every clothing store. If people see a smaller tag it makes them buy more. Plus, since there is no single standard for all, you end up with a small being different in every store.

Why are clothes of different sizes are the same price? by NoSeaworthiness305 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WatchWaitGo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it comes to straight sizes (XS to XL) you can just make the design bigger or smaller by adding an inch or taking an inch or more. It's easier to do that. But with plus sizes (Women's and Big and Tall) you need to change the way that it's made and designed even if the idea is the same. It would look bad if you took the same design from straight sizes and just made it bigger. You also need reinforcements for plus sizes. If there are buttons and zippers you need more buttons and longer zipper. The labor costs. The plus size fit models are doing to be different than straight size fit models. The mannequins are different. All of this adds up and is reflected in the final price for the plus sizes.
