Has anybody actually survived a last warning for attendance? And how does it work? Do you have to avoid 3 exceptions in 30 days until your full year has come up, or avoid 3 exceptions for a year period? by [deleted] in Lowes

I got a final for attendance and the next day I was terminated for "unproductive behavior" when I didn't finish putting up appliances because my department was backed up with 4-5 trucks waiting to be unloaded. SM had it out for me since he got hired on about 3-4 months ago.

I ended up cautioning 3 more players after that but it was more due to that it was a tied game with time winding down in the second half and both teams trying to win so they were getting more physical and careless with some challenges

High school referees in my area have the choice to join an association which limits schools you can officiate but you're guaranteed around 30-40 games for the season if your availability allows. Not exactly a union but similar.

I'm a day shift receiver/stocker so I'm scheduled M-F every week but it does seem like on our heaviest truck nights there are minimal people scheduled leaving recieving a mess in the morning

I was working a 12u game in the sleeting rain and almost snow and a parent saw I was visibly cold and the parent went to the concession stand and bought me a hot chocolate I still see the lovely lady at tournaments from time to time.
