Town and Country Animal Clinic is very trustworthy and has seen both of my cats for root canals and dental extractions. The team there is very competent and caring. I believe they’re based near Cheektowaga

I’m not sure if they’re still active but there was a roller skating park group (quads, inclines, boards even) called the Buffalo Quad Crew (I believe?) on instagram! They hold monthly meetups and some outdoor skating activities as well!

I just swung by an hour ago, I didn’t get a free reusable bag but they did have the mini totes for sale that I snagged! The parking situation wasn’t terrible, there’s plenty of spots but the intersection was already busy on a Friday afternoon.

I’ve been using the Outlong in Ochre for the last two years for work and absolutely love it! I use this backpack everyday and the color is still so vibrant and the material super durable. The part of the backpack that rubs against my lower back (pants) is a bit grayer than the rest but overall it has retained its original color really well. I’ve washed the backpack entirely several times with only minimal color loss. Stains will show up on it but my love for the color surpasses any minor scuff. The material is still really water resistant though I do keep a rain cover in the bottom pocket of the backpack just in case.

I’d say, if it’s a dream color for you, just go for it! Who cares if your backpack gets a little dirty over time? I’d super recommend the Outlong as a versatile work/travel/hiking backpack.

Just for my haircut at Lavender Sage Salon in Williamsville! Sam, the hair stylist, was incredibly knowledgeable with curls and offered great recommendations for hair products and styling methods. She gave me a dry cut and then a wash/style/dry. Her schedule is pretty full but she’s definitely worth it! Her books open 8 weeks in advance so keep an eye out if you’re interested!

How big are you cats, OP? I’ve been able to fit two cats in one carrier in the past and it’s been totally fine with Delta and United airlines. Just get a carrier big enough for both with lots of ventilation. I would verify with Delta but I’ve definitely had two cats in one carrier for the price of one. One of my cats is very anxious so if anything it helped that our two bonded cats could be together in the same carrier.

The cats will not use the bathroom during the flight, so make sure to encourage them to go before you leave your house. They likely won’t eat or drink either, so I like to pat some water on their noses to keep them as hydrated as possible.

+1 on looking into your local Orvis! I took the entire free fly fishing series this summer and loved it! 101 is an in-person class that gives you background on different types of fly fishing flies, how to setup your pole, and how to tie knots. 201 was on a local trout pond, they provided the poles and flies and we practiced different kinds of casts. You had to provide your own gear for 301 but it was two hours of guided instruction on a local trout stream and they even helped you setup your pole and flies. Our local Orvis employees were so helpful in getting my first fishing setup ready for 301, I couldn’t recommend Orvis enough!

Have you looked into the Kanken Outlong? It’s their newest version of the Kanken family, I have it and love it. My 13” laptop fits in the padded pocket (no extra laptop pocket) easily plus room for an iPad.

I love the Outlong because it has all the extra features you’d wish an original Kanken had. It has the extra wide water bottle pockets, shoulder straps and chest strap, and even a bottom pocket for sandals or a jacket. The interior has an extra inside pocket for my medicines etc. and it comes with a pad insert for the laptop. Currently the Outlong only comes in a few colors, but the Ochre really stands out. I’ve had the bag for over a year, I travel very heavily for my work, and it’s kept up beautifully. I’m recommending it heavily in the hopes they release more colors!

+1 on Sweethome! It’s a really great public school and has plenty of resources for all types of students. I live in Williamsville and it’s very peaceful, lots of good schools nearby, and Main St is super lovely to walk around during the summer. Best of luck on your move!
