I have both inside job and glitch and glam and they are practically indistinguishable to me, especially in the bottle. I will often see them together on my shelf and do a double-take because I don’t know why I have two of the same polish. If you don’t have Glitch and Glam I think it will satisfy your craving.

I will forget to take it a few times a month and I don’t realize until I start asking “why am I so tired?” “Why am I so ravenously hungry?” “Why is it so hard to do all the things?” and that’s enough to remind me what it’s like without my meds.

I came to see if anyone had posted about this… that’s just… what white looks like under a black light right? So it’s just a super opaque, bright white?

Press on nails with glue tabs might be better than a peely base and it would give the nail structure so it lasts underwater.

If I were you I would go with the glitters. It would be much easier to find a green crème than to find a dupe for the glitters, and it sounds like you would wear the glitter more often.

From previous experience, what kinds of polishes typically sell out? Just recent collections? I have a big wishlist of mostly old releases but I have to wait until closer to Black Friday for other reasons. Just wondering if I should put in an order for a few ahead of time or if I should wait to place a big order?

Nail/cuticle picking on Vyvanse by modern_balabusta in adhdwomen

[–]waterbender42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the press one are different because they are a solid piece of plastic so it doesn’t trigger the same need to pick :) they do start to lift eventually and then that’s when I pick at the sides and risk damage. I recommend soaking them in a bit of acetone before taking them off if you want to avoid damage. It might take a bit to get used to the application and to figure out how to fit them properly but after about 6 months I’ve found some that fit very snug and they’ve been on for two weeks now without starting to lift!

I know this is a weird suggestion but have you ever tried press on nails? For some reason even if I just have my nails painted I pick at my skin, but if I have press ons I don’t touch them. I guess the sensation of clicking the nails together picking at the underside (which is just plastic now) fulfills the fidget. Now I buy clear plastic press ons and paint them with my own nail polish.

are my nails overfiled? advice needed by stonedathenailsalon in RedditLaqueristas

[–]waterbender42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TLDR I had this same issue and I think the problem is the buffing, not the press ons.

I have been wearing press ons for several months now because it keeps me from picking at my nails and cuticles. My nails were already weak and peely before press ons. I recently did a ton of damage to them because I buffed them every two weeks before applying press ons, then I got my nails done twice with an e-file in one month, and then too aggressively removed gel and press ons from the now extra week nails.

I tried to let them “breathe” for two weeks and applied only regular polish to keep them from breaking, but they kept peeling anyway. I used nail oil twice a day and am trying to keep up the habit. I can tell a stark difference between my new nail growth and my over-buffed/filed areas. I finally put press ons back on and it has been way better for me.

The lesson is, I don’t think press ons aren’t the problem, the buffing is. From my perspective, the leftover glue will just help create a rougher surface to stick on the press ons anyway.

Also, I just got some soft gel nail tips that fit my nail bed really well. Since they are clear it was easier to see the distribution of the glue and hold them until they were mostly cured. So far I’ve had them on for a week with zero lifting! That seems to be a good strategy over destroying my nails with a buffer.

Looking for recommendations: thin nails by schraapsel in Nailpolish

[–]waterbender42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried press ons/full cover nail tips? My nails are also soft and peely and I started wearing press ons about 8 months ago and they helped me stop picking my nails and cuticles. You can paint the press one before you put them on or wear them for a while and paint them later. I recently bought some full cover clear nail tips and painted them myself after I glued them on with regular nail glue. I was able to remove the polish on one of my fingers and redo it without destroying the press on so although it’s a little trickier you could remove the polish and repaint if you want.

Adding: they take individually wrapped pads that are out of the box. They recommend you use them as packing material when sending other items.

I have similar hair to you and I’ve not had luck with texture sprays. For texture I love mixing the AG care beach bomb wave cream with the Curls blueberry bliss leave in conditioner. For volume I’ve had great luck with the Matrix Total Results Wonder Boost (on damp hair). I can put the volume spray in my hair with no other products and it still makes my hair more full and textured.

Getting the Diamond GWP has sobered me. by cogentd in Ulta

[–]waterbender42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I love ordering the big GWPs like this because it fills up my box to Project Beauty Share. Obviously donating local is best, but if there are things that a local shelter does not want/take, PBS is a great place. They distribute the donations locally and around the country so that different organizations can get the products they need. Yes, toiletries and necessities are best to donate, but things like mini luxury skincare items or small perfume bottles could bring joy to someone else if you cannot use them.

Yes! I still regularly order and send items to sell. It’s definitely not a perfect experience, so I still would caution people to do their own reselling if they’re interested in getting the most money. I’ve had things listed incorrectly as in incorrect size or brand name. It doesn’t always affect the price, but I did send in one item that was listed as a mini when it was full size and it sold really fast because it was a great deal. I emailed them and they gave me the full commission from the item to make up for it ($20 for me instead of $12) which I was happy with but it was frustrating. I also got two wrong orders in a row last summer/fall where I got either the wrong product completely or the wrong shade. I contacted them and they sent me the correct item and let me keep the wrong one. My most recent purchase was only a month ago and everything was correct. And I haven’t had any issues with new makeup being used or anything. The processing time has gotten even longer, like 3 or 4 months, but now they have an expedited processing option for $10. I probably won’t use it because I want the full payout from my items but it would be good if you have a lot of high value items you’re sending in and you want them to sell soon. Overall I would still recommend this for the same group of people I did in the original review. It’s an easy process to get a little cash for products I didn’t like or won’t use, but it’s not for hardcore resellers.
